Do you like paste sandwiches?

Chip shops should sell fish, chips and peas. Bakeries should sell bread, barms..whatever. It was only when they got mixed up that problems started. A chip buty was something you made at home. Don't take rocket science; if you want chip butties for lunch, take bread and butter from home and buy chips. Easy.

Pastie barms are legendary, it's funny asking southerners if they've ever had one.

You, Mr Cowdrill, need to get yourself to your nearest available Carr's Pasties shop and right a wrong.

My favourite sandwich, by the way, is peanut butter & Marmite. A taste sensation!

My mate met a similar reaction to soldier when he asked for a pastie barm in Nottingham, except they didn't have a clue what a barm was either! They call them "cobs".
