We're all awaiting the announcement of the fourballs... although a doubles comp does sound good :)

Could always try a top/bottom handicap thing for pairings?

So Mummy is with Tango, whoever's 2nd is with whoever's 7th, 3rd and 6th and then 4th and 5th together on the final handicap ratings?

Just an idea, anyway.

Suits me just fine.

I'm too kind to you lot, giving away all the secrets. :P

Seriously, a professional golf lesson fro free at: http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-per ... golf-swing

It's very good and covers a lot of aspects.

I'm not overly keen on the idea of pairings but I don't mind either way. I just want to play and it not to rain.

Just a thought, but we could draw out on the day. Probably a hi low draw would be fairest.

I'm playing today at Shaw Hill, Chorley. I've not played since February so it'll be interesting if nothing else. Two bits of good news. Firstly I have a cool bag full of import Stella. Secondly, just so you know what you're up against, I lied about my handicap and have 3 extra illegal shots - NHFGIT?

not anymore you don't. ;)

And after yesterday's debacle, I'm hoping it's not windy on the 8th.

You see Billy, you should keep things like this up your sleeve.

I got fifteen holes in on Tuesday night but it's much harder after a long day at work. Was knackered when we finished. Luckily, the comp is on a Sunday. I've also aquired a new putter and reverted back to my old Roberto de Vincenzo driver. My McGregor woods (metals) look like peas on sticks compared to todays drivers.

Drivers? Woods? Ha. Last year's victor didn't need or use any of them contraptions... ;)

Cheers Commie, er, let's see now that's stroke hole 1 = 2 shots, 11 net nine =...., nope, that's no good. Have to be 6 net 5 = 2 points.... Er, oh no, make that 6 net 4 =3 points, that's better.

Was last year's comp Stableford? I'd never heard of it before.
