well this is where i played on Friday....

odd course, part seaside inks, part woodland. The comments re bunkers and greens are an understatement.

Looks nice.

Biggest revelation of a really nice course in this area came first time I played Sandiways in Chesire. What a beautiful course.

For those who didn't believe I played golf in my youth, here's the proof. I still have the clothes and cap.

A light shower in Radcliffe. but good drying weather now, dry with a gentle, non humid breeze.

Another 15 months 3 weeks of this and the Muni will be fit too play.

I'm playing The Old Links Friday in some sort vain effort to up my game all the way to incompetant. I'll be easy meat for you lot on Sunday, but don't worry that'll not stop me betting with my heart and getting wankered on Import Stella.

Same level of practice for me as last year - don't pick up the clubs at all for a month or more before the event. Last round was at Portrush in early June. That'll do me.

Looking forward to this, now. I do love a good hack round a course :)

Just had an absolute downpour in Manchester. Carry on like this and the course will be like Lake Windemere. Will it ever stop?

Ahh. Auntie says dry with sunny bits? Bring waterproofs.

According to the very same source there wasn't meant to be a cloud in the sky when we played Haigh Hall.

Probably, I'm in Wilmslow and there hasn't been a day without rain so far in July.

Perpetual depression, and i've not even driven off the first yet.

Reports of Blurred pulling out of the TW Open due to a vicious paper-cut sustained to his left hand while in the office were stenuously denied by his agent, earlier today.

Excellent, sounds like this could be fun - you can't beat a course where the ball can plug on the fairway :D
