The Greatest EVER................Martial Arts movie
For me it has to be Jackie Chan - Armour of God.
Some of the most incredible and dangerous stunts ever filmed, mixed with none stop action and fights, while following an Indiana Jones type storyline. Jackie Chan at his very best!
Though this only just pipped Ong-Bak by a whisker.

Showing your ignorance there Nozza. Try telling that to the Kenpo, Thai boxers, Akeido, Judo and Ju-Jitsu lads. Thos apart there are many different disciplines of them all, including Karate.Nozza wrote:It's all Karate, or Karate with a different name.communistworkethic wrote:just as well very few feature karate then.Nozza wrote:None. Lets see how all that fancy standing and posing helps them in a proper fight - ootside a pub.TANGODANCER wrote:Showing your ignorance there Nozza. You mean four to one and somebody clouting you from behind with a bottle? "Proper" fights (ie, one on one) are a thing of the past buddy. One on one I'll back the martial arts man every time.Nozza wrote:Lets see how all that fancy standing and posing helps them in a proper fight - ootside a pub.TANGODANCER wrote:Showing your ignorance there Nozza. Somehow Dax (respectfully) at sixteen, I doubt it. True martial arts guys never get in fights if they can help it. One doubling as a club bouncer is a man to seriously avoid. However hard someone is there's always someone around who'll beat them. If you want to know about real hard men, read "The Govenor", Lennie McLean's (true) life story. Or ask Commie about Trev Roberts. I could tell you tales.......Daxter wrote:A martial arts man would obliterate a wannabe hardnut idiot in a pub. I have seen this type of thing.

yes Nozza, Trevor Roberts is a 7th Dan in Jui Jitsu, 4th Dan Judo and 3rd dan in the Russian Martial art of Sambo, former worls light heavyweight JuiJitsu Champion- he is a professor by virtue of his martial arts knowledge. Trevor worked boltons doors for years, many tried many failed. He trained the GM Police TAG unit in hand to hand combat.

An expert on martial arts you are not, Nozza. A clueless tosser you most certainly are. Yes, I'll tell my brother who's a fifth dan instructor, that has represented his (and your) country at his chosen sport, and that has worked as Head Doorman on many of Rank Leisure's dodgiest outposts, that some kid up Sunderland way, who surfs around on internet message boards that are of no concern to him, trying to strike up cyber friendships, thinks that he's a puff that couldn't win a proper bout of fisticuffs..Nozza wrote:Lets see how all that fancy standing and posing helps them in a proper fight - ootside a pub.TANGODANCER wrote:Showing your ignorance there Nozza. Anyway, back to the thread. I've never enjoyed any martial arts films other than for their corny-ness. My favourite line (and one that I still quote when someone's trying to pass me off with an untruth) comes from a film in which this guy has a robotic hand. "Buuuuull-shit, Mr Hand-Man. You just popped right up from a comic book."
May the bridges I burn light your way
