21 years since Chernobyl

The UN has said the "emergency phase" is finally over in the areas affected by the Chernobyl nuclear plant disaster in Ukraine in 1986, according to the BBC.

Always have a load of kids from Chernobyl staying in the Leigh area every summer. There's obvious jokes about Leigh being only a slight improvement on a nuclear wasteland but nice that people haven't forgotten.

Is that how they spell it now? It was Dunkirk when the family left it in 1940 after a brief but unsatisfactory trip to the continent.
