I have the Navman N40 which is a great Sat Nav, but the Traffic Updates come Via a seperate Module which is a bit cumbersome.
Got the Sat Nav from John Lewis online for £140 which is a bit of a bargain cos in Argos it was £240, and the Traffic module off Ebay for £30.
I think you cant beat TomTom for all in one Sat Nav but you would pay a lot more for the features I have seperatly with Navman.
Wait for the Sales and you should be able to pick up bargain.

Yes, but a map doesn't talk to you in tones redolent of Audrey Hepburn.superjohnmcginlay wrote:Hundred and twelve fooking quid for a glorified map? You can a get a decent map book for a tenner you know.Bruce Rioja wrote:Just ordered a TomTom One jobbie off of ebay for £112.

Also, I've manged to wing it on expenses.

I've driven with a borrowed one a couple of times and I kept being distracted by the Mario Kart style map. When used in conjunction with brain they're very handy.
Downside being if you park somewhere other than a secure car park you end up carrying your Sat Nav and the front of your Stereo around with you.

Aye, I've heared o' that. Also, never put your exact address in the pre-sets. A family were out at Alton Towers and whilst there had there car nicked off of the car park. The theiving articles then tapped 'home' into the sat nav and nipped round and burgled them, safe in the knowledge that the family were stuck in Staffordshire.Batman wrote:make sure you wipe the sucker mark off the window, or you'll find your glovebox a target
