chillin out, maxin, relaxin, shootin b-ball upside the school
when a couple of guys who were up to no good startin makin trouble in my neighourhood
i got in one little fight and my mom got scared
she said "you're movin with your aunty and uncle in bel air"

Personally, I'm a big Dylan fan, but I have to say that Mr Hendrix improved "All Along The Watchtower" - to such an extent that Bob himself started playing it more in a Hendrix fashion. One of the few cover versions that are better than the original. Along with Tori Amos's "Smells Like Teen Spirit", Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah and Banarama's "The Atrocity Exhibition". Which, sadly, is yet to be recorded, but you can imagine how good it would be. Down to the video which would have them beckoning seductively, whilst singing "This is the way, step inside..."BWFC_Insane wrote:I don't think I've heard a Dylan song sang by anyone else that I preferred over the Dylan own version.enfieldwhite wrote:Didn't mean my comment to upset you, BWFCi. I just personally feel Dylan's a better Songwriter than singer.
Same could be said for Dolly Parton, or Johnny Cash. Absolutely fantastic songwriters, but sometimes their songs are improved by (technically) better singers.
I accept he isn't "the greatest technical singer" BUT for me thats half the appeal.
Never been a massive fan of "overpolished" voices.
To keep this post on topic, may I add the opening line:
"I don't believe in an interventionist god".
I like that one.
"People are crazy and times are strange
I’m locked in tight, I’m out of range
I used to care, but things have changed"
