New shop in Preston, called C-Ex, apparently got shops all over the country, cheap as owt - bought Lego Star Wars II for a tenner, brand new, 15 quid for Gears of War, and I also saw the special tin edition of Bioshock for 20 notes.

Because playing guitar to impress birds is clearly 1990s.Bruce Rioja wrote:I just saw an ad for some computer game called Guitar Hero. Why not learn to play the fecking thing instead?

If you want a serious answer then, it's just a simulation like anything else and fairly fun.

Correct. And where's the sense of achievement?TANGODANCER wrote:But if it was easy it wouldn't be any fun.Worthy4England wrote:And is way easier and more accessible than playing a guitar...Athers wrote:If you want a serious answer then, it's just a simulation like anything else and fairly fun.
May the bridges I burn light your way
Guitar Hero isn't easy! Not for me, anyway, even on easy mode.Bruce Rioja wrote:Correct. It gets SOLID when you have to start moving your hand up and down on hard mode. Doable I'm sure but will take hours and hours to get used to it. Expert just looks silly as well.

Guitar Hero is nothing like playing real guitar.
I'm quite a competant guitarist in real life (being modest here) and Guitar Hero at times is just bizarre the way it makes you play songs.
It's also (at points) ridiculously hard. I have a friend who has just started playing Guitar and is an EXPERT at guitar hero, watching him play I keep telling him that the speed his fingers moves at he (in theory, should he apply himself) could be a very very good guitarist.
Anyway...
Bully is okay (never had in PS2) but I can't help feeling Rockstar could put out a game called "Toilet Cleaner" and it'd sell shitloads (see what I did there, hilarious I'm sure you'll agree ) because it'd be the same recycled game type as before.
Bully = GTA - guns/hookers/cars but + hetro/homo kissing and skateboards.
It's the same game in another setting.
GTA4 looks impressive though, hope it's better than Vice City as that was the first GTA I didn't enjoy.
Dark Sector out this week, been after that for ages, looks like Gears of War LITE which is not a bad thing.
