Taco's
Hmmm how the feck does anyone eat the feckers???
I've tried "mince in" first then wrapping the fecker in with salady type things
I've tried salady type things in first followed by mince.
Either way the whole fecking shebang falls out...pointless or what???

It's an oft asked question

The advice only to eat soft tacos seems sensible.

Thanks for this Warty. I checked that my answer of biting from the side was in agreement with the general concensus. Soft taco's seem absolutely to be the answer. I shall have a word with 'er indoors.warthog wrote:It's an oft asked question

Can't help I'm afraid. Much more of a fajita man, easy to wrap and bloody good to eat. None of this crispy nonesnse.
Also, DSB would be having sleepless nights if he saw that apostrophe

(Oh it's an apostrophe not a comma, and I'm learning to cope with it )

I have to say, Barnetto, that as much as I could just go that that you describe without even being hungry, something that becomes abundantly clear to one on visiting Mexico is that you're actually hard pressed to find fajitas, burritos, chimichangas, quesadillas or any of that stuff. This idea that the Mexicans live on a closely related spiced minced beef based diet is an absolute nonsense, and is in fact something of an insult to the incredible variety of wonderful food available. You'd be there for a year just trying out the fish dishes. Just to pad my point out, in Mexico chili con carne is predominantly made with peppers and various beans with ground/minced beef being almost an afterthought in a waterish but fantastically tasty, spicy juice. There seems to be this whole 'Tex/Mex' market that's sprung out of a complete disservice.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Oh man, I love Mexican food. Never understood the crunchy taco shell though. Get yourself down Wiki Way for a starters my man (pun perfectly intended). It notes: A distinction must be made between truly authentic Mexican food, and "Tex Mex" (Texan-Mexican) cuisine.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Hell yeah. Options, options.
Then there are links from there, but if hunting down Mexican recipes ont' web then be absolutely sure to include 'authentic' in your search. There are bundles my friend.
