Joined BWFC4U just as everyone was kicking off and setting up this one, so think I was here early on.

LKAFG didn't fit, look a few down from your name, you'll see.

As Kev alluded to in the other thread directing to this one, I fondly recall the day when some mad hacker pranged the site and spouted loads of anti George Dubya stuff for a couple of days...

.. that was a hoot to sort out! I remember ringing Bench at work and his response must have made his colleagues think that someone had died!

Like others, 606 at the off. Got recruited over here by Mummy when I was "Meatpieandchips". Decided that was a bit too down-market for here and so, became Tangodancer, because Farnworth Flamencodancer was too long . Been here since and got promoted? to mod some time ago.

T'was indeed Chris Bishop who ran BWFC4U, I had a period of helping him out on there years ago but got sick of the lack of assistance in it all and as such joined with Bench, mof, Billy et al in jumping ship to TW as it was then.

It's been a long four years!

Has anyone heard owt off Billy? I recall a memorable post of his regarding the moon romantically bouncing off a certain part of his anatomy outside the Doffcocker with 8 pints and 2 spliffs in him...

Ahh... BWFC4U. I understand that Bishop wouldn't sell because "the time wasn't right" and so we all boogered off here. The guy finally relaunched his site and had about three people on his message board. Where are they now?

I've been editing the site pretty much since the beginning, through all the highs and lows...

Christ 4 years, moff told me the other day and i was shocked. I to joined 4U and met up with simmy ( jane) and bench in the bob smithy about setting upthis very site. helped out at the start , even single handed dished out the first lot of fanzines we did, met keveh then for the first time as i was shouting ' get nat knighted' after shouting this for over an hour i was informed by Bench it sounded like 'get nat a nitey' Good times and glad to see some of you still hard at it.
Keep up the good work fellas...

Think I joined around the end of the 1st year. I actually was posting a bit on the official site. One day I asked if there was any better site out there, and someone kindly directed me to this location. I had previously checked out the Banter and ways site but not for me. Put in an introduction post and got a friendly response. Guess Batty hadn't joined by that point. javascript:emoticon(''). Anyway I rarely check other sites now. Get most information I want right here. Remember being on line when the Turks hit town. Have to admit that was a bit freeky. Things just started to disappear. For a few minutes I was even concerned about my own computers security, but curiosity killed the cat, and I hate cats so I stayed on line to watch the developments.

Anyway cheers to the Wanderer and my hat off again to the efforts made to keep this site going at it's consistently high standards (well for the most part), as well as all you posters.

Played against them last season, we smashed them...

That means I'm better than N'diwa Lord Kangana, now that makes me a football genius

Like a couple of others on here, I was a member of the BWFC Yahoo Groups email list. I was pointed toward T-W when someone told me they were looking to set up a fanzine - which interested me because of my old existence as Tripe 'n' Trotters editor. I liked what I saw (especially compare to other forums), hung about for a bit and dived in. It seems I've rarely stopped diving since.

Congrats to all involved with the site, it's a belter and your very hard work is appreciated.
