What are you watching tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Ohhhh the bitter disappointment - the top bits were Britt, the bottom bits were a body double from a stripper they picked up in Glasgow

It's true. Eckland was pregnant at the time. She later complained about the body double, saying that she had (and I quote) a fat arse.

Well, I'll just have to watch it again then (the whole film, you understand, not just that bit). I have it on DVD, see, so that's the rest of this evening sorted.

Indeed, the story runs that Ekland was actually off-set when the bottom half was shot, and didn't actually know about it until the film was released at which point she went ape.

Anecdotally, the stripper was "borrowed" for 24 hours from her day (night?) job, apparently she shacked up in the crew vans for a fortnight.

The Caretaker at the octagon.

Enjoyed without being engrossed. I've never really 'got' Pinter - brilliant dialogue, but the genius escapes me.

but good crowd in the theatre for a weds night, and for a play with a 'difficult' rep...

A bit after the event, watched the Oxford Murders today on telly. Good yarn with pretty good performance from John Hurt in there...

picked up being John Malkovich for 3 quid at Tesco - had forgotten how great it is, just watched it now, its quite complex and surreal but still tickles me, especially Floris and her hearing problem! and i still dont understand the relevance of the low ceilings in lester corp either? but its still funny - then on the other hand there's some seriously quality acting going on, notably Malkovich himself! the last couple of hours have zoomed by!

Genius.

These two never seem to be off the telly at the moment. Why doesn't someone just tell them they're not funny and put everyone out of their misery? That sketch show was easily the worst thing I've seen in a good while, and their new 'film' by all accounts is utterly abysmal. Don't even get me started on Corden's high pitched shrieking every time he gets excited.

They reviewed it on R4 last Friday and absolutely panned it as being one of the worst of all time. That bad!

have i missed peoples thoughts on Watchmen? i saw it a few weeks ago now but just talking about it at work - I thought it was pretty good, not as good as i hoped, but nicely violent for a comic book! - one thing that did do my head in tho, was why Mr Manhattan walks round with his cock out all the time!?

Tonight i have just watched Kate Winslets Oscar winner - The Reader.

it would have taken something seriously special to have beaten her to the best actress, absolutely superb! the young Mike is pretty incredible too, David Kross!

fantastic film, and an original score - often wondered about post war germany and how folk got back to normal etc. gripping stuff!

A poetry and prose fiction reading at the Octagon. Mostly prose (Janette Jenkins, bolton author but not at all parochial, with latest novel, and Adam Foulds, just won sunday times 'Young Writer of the Year' award, reading both poetry and prose).

Some vivid writing, vividly read, very well received by an audience of about 35, i'd guess.

Going to get Foulds' 'The Broken Dream' when I'm allowed to buy books again...
