They remind me of the pumps I had 35 years ago at primary school.

Talking of which - I saw some Dunlop Green Flash in Schuh a while back. They're 'retro trendy' now, and as such were commanding the thick end of £30, I kid you not!

I'm thinking of trying these. Seriously.
Saw someone the other day wearing (but not running in) something like those foot gloves. Thought he looked a right prat. Mind you, his proprioception was impressive.

Going out trainers? You must go somewhere posh like Manchester. The likes of Bolton or Preston don't let you go out in trainers, it means you start fights

What are you - a bunch of girls whining on about what kind of shoes you will wear out? What's up with the world!

Not even shoes Bish - and they use "class" in the same sentence.

The class is indeed half empty.

There's a difference. With us its just shoes, with girls its whether they 'colour co-ordinate' with the rest of the outfit...

Im a big fan of my adidas Stockholms... took me ages to get hold of them in my size too. It's always a toil finding decent adidas trainers in size 12

True, but have you ever had the dilemma yourself? If not, then you have no right to comment on this. Ever.

Had a look in the Trafford on saturday but nothing really lept out at me. I am seriously considering the walsh trainers. Support your local providers and all. Do they have an outlet or are they only online?

Regarding running shoes, I am a PE teacher and I have never gone wrong with Asics, quality

Yeh, Asics are pretty much perfect. I use them for running and also have a brilliant pair of Asics cricket spikes which are just as comfortable. You get what you pay for with them as well.

Walsh trainers are available on the Sole Food website - I've not had chance to go into the actual shop in town yet, looks like they sell some pretty good stuff though
