You see, to me, it's precisely that little bit extra he does have - character. It isn't mere talent that does it for Poulter.Bruce Rioja wrote:He's 25/1 alongside Harrington. That's Woods chap has some bottle too.

See, I still have Poulter down as being a nonce!
May the bridges I burn light your way

But nice guys rarely come first.

This could well be the most dramatic Masters ever, even before the critical final round. Mickleson pulling back FIVE SHOTS from Westwood in two holes, players getting eagle after eagle, Choi and Couples holing long putts to bring them back.....I can't remember any tournament being so good during the third round before.
Oh my God, Mickleson a foot away from a third straight eagle on the 15th.

Well, this is my 45th, and this one still has a way to go yet before it can claim that title.KeeeeeeeBaaaaaaab wrote:This could well be the most dramatic Masters ever, .
The old saying is that "The masters only really starts on the back nine on Sunday"
By then, Mickleson could be out of sight, Woods could have taken over, or we really could have a classic on our hands.
An old friend of mine - a sports fan but not a golfer, summed it up by saying that Year in Year out, the Masters provides the best night of sports viewing of the year.
So lets see what happens tonight.
I really would love Westwood to win - but I will get a bollocking from my son who is in Africa - I promised to back Westwood - forgot to get to the bookies - and now have an email enquiring how much we stand to win. Whoops!
What goes around may still come around

I did think of our resident Pool fan when I saw it go in, especially as it was an also-ran, a complete non-eventTricky Trevor wrote:http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/golf/8614601.stmblurred wrote:So far no holes in one (that I've seen, anyway). My only bet is doing very nicely.

If you hit one in the trees at the Muni you'll be lucky to see it again. At the Masters he hits two in the trees and is still putting for a four. Okay, he missed it, but should they change the venue to Bolton Muni?CAPSLOCK wrote:IF he makes his 4, I'm having another punt
