I considered too much tea/cigarettes, as a possible problem for headaches once. Turned out I needed reading glasses.
I already wear them, Tango. I went for a re-test but everything was as-was.

But I agree that many people do tend to question all manner of other aspects before booking themselves in for an eye test.
Very true. I have reading glasses, glasses for TV and football watching, Two pairs of magnifying glasses, an emergency pair that fold up to 2 inches that I always carry around, and a pair to help me find any and all of them when I can't (which is quite often). :D
are the TV & football ones rose-tinted?
Indispupitably. What shade are your doom specs?

The inquistion changes its primary interrogative from 'what?' to 'why?'...

Continuing the 'tabloids make things up' theme, this.

Wow.

That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

Specifically that outrageous piece of 'journalism', or a 'tabloid' in general one?

I'd feel like I betrayed my angry thread if I did it

Yes, when you've created something slmost perfect that thousands have responded to it's probably wise to leave it to luxuriate in its glory...

I just thought that was such a hilarious expose of tabloid journalism that it could be a great start signal for its cousins, neighbours and bastard children... tbh, i read it, not in anger, but in a curious mixture of despair and derision... Did it really make you angry?

Well, as much as anything on here really ever does, not that I'm saying this thread is a thinly disguised front for letting off steam about things that don't really matter. God no. The thing that got me though was that they asked the girlfriend's grandmother what she thought of a story they'd made up. I think that's distasteful and I also think it's dangerous. You hear a lot of folk pushed towards the UKIP and even BNP way because of stories they've read in this vein about Muslims demanding this that and the other.

Perhaps there should be a new thread, but I couldn't start it myself. My name is at the top of too many rant style threads

:D

I really really am angry and would flaten the place tomorrow without batting an eyelid, fecking peasants and uncivilised trash.
