Why would I take the effort to grab the cleaver? It's simple really. There was no way in the world that I would win a bout of fisticuffs or an outright brawl with the chap as he was far superior to me in the height, reach and muscle departments. There's nothing like a sharp edge to even up a fight.
I've often wondered though what I might have done had he not backed down. Perhaps I'd be still incarcerated.

Just that it should be taken into Account when some muppet decides your home, with you, your good wife and kids in it, is fair game.

Well, I have been going on about the disturbed home owner, but I would assume the thugs with the deceased also faced a variety of charges and should even bear some responsibility for their friends death. I'm not sure what the maximum sentence for disturbing the peace, drunk ad disorderly, vandalism, affray, public indecency, uttering threats, etc. is but they should probably get it.Hoboh wrote:When the legal system and the Police sing from the same hymm sheet this type of incident won't or extremely rarely happen.
The Police should be made to publicly state what action they are taking to deal with these thugs and the Bods that represent Judges and Magistrates should openly come out and say that whilest retaining the right of mitigation etc they will come down generally on the thugs like a ton of bricks! That is a start, at least the w*nkers will know then, next the rights of victims should be paramount, sod the knobheads and just as aside morons like the dead muppets mum should be sterlised
As for the mother who has just lost a son, I would be loathe to level any criticism.

I wouldn't bank on that Montey, all Police resources have probably been used prosecuting the easy target that is the way in the UK nowadays just ask any motorist.Montreal Wanderer wrote:Well, I have been going on about the disturbed home owner, but I would assume the thugs with the deceased also faced a variety of charges and should even bear some responsibility for their friends death. Won't be that easy for those police bastards when every motorist has his/her own AK47 with a spare mag...Hoboh wrote:I wouldn't bank on that Montey, all Police resources have probably been used prosecuting the easy target that is the way in the UK nowadays just ask any motorist.Montreal Wanderer wrote:Well, I have been going on about the disturbed home owner, but I would assume the thugs with the deceased also faced a variety of charges and should even bear some responsibility for their friends death. Are people not killed on the road anymore? Does excessive speeding and drunk driving still not contribute to the death toll of innocent people?Hoboh wrote:I wouldn't bank on that Montey, all Police resources have probably been used prosecuting the easy target that is the way in the UK nowadays just ask any motorist.Actually If that was my own son who was doing that I'd more than likley shoot him meself!!Montreal Wanderer wrote:Well, I have been going on about the disturbed home owner, but I would assume the thugs with the deceased also faced a variety of charges and should even bear some responsibility for their friends death. yes but its far more comfy sitting in nice souped up BMW's catching poor buggers doing 34mph than taking on real crime and chavs. The resource allocated to motoring issues out of proportion.BWFC_Insane wrote: Are people not killed on the road anymore? but then every speeding motorist is a crime solved.
Catching scrotes and anti social chavs is too much like hard work for our boys in blue, too risky and not glamourous enough...better to be in the flash cars eh?

All the coppers regularly seen in their cars parked up down side streets, lay-bys, bridges on any short journey one cares to make in daylight hours. And the ones who are conspicuous by their absence on inner city housing estates and town centres of an eveningthebish wrote:what is the resource allocation for motoring issues?Big_Girl_Oral_Explosion wrote:yes but its far more comfy sitting in nice souped up BMW's catching poor buggers doing 34mph than taking on real crime and chavs. The resource allocated to motoring issues out of proportion.BWFC_Insane wrote: Are people not killed on the road anymore? and that amounts to what - in comparison to investigating murders (for instance)? can you quantify it? if not - how can you claim the proportiojn is too high?Big_Girl_Oral_Explosion wrote:All the coppers regularly seen in their cars parked up down side streets, lay-bys, bridges on any short journey one cares to make in daylight hours. oh now the big haughty and clever Rev Nev hiding behind the socialist need of quantification when he cannot argue the real point! On the other hand he expects everyone to have faith in his fairy tales. Are you the same fraud I used to know on the bwfc msn list some years ago? bishop now eh?
what a big load of wank!!!! Chavs ARE running riot on these estates...come up here back to the NW and i will show you!!!!
so your flock says to you "my lord, we are under attack from the hoodies" and you turn to them from your ivory vicarage and tell them "Prove it!!!! but by the way have you been reading the Daily Mail and if so be ashamed you sinner, you have never had it so good! Crisis! What Crisis!! But keep passing the the collection plate".
Bloody tin pot socialist prat!
Bet you cannot wait for the early editions of tomorrows Guardian in order to scour it for the merest whiff of a story of our troops stepping out of line in Iraq so that you can run to bring it to this forum to do them down. Seems to me nothing quite gets it on for you better than a anti troops story eh? There is always one that never loses its spots!! Wet dreams about selling socialist worker or fronting troops out demos in the 70's. Thats you!
simple question - still unanswered (albeit remarkably loudly!)
you see - I don't think the police budget allocation to road traffic is anywhere near as big as you are claiming.
I said nothing about chavs on estates or hoodies - I merely asked you what the figure is that you were objecting to.
you don't actually know - do you?
after all your amusing bluster - how about you actually answer the question - ie. back up your crappy claim, OR - just admit you don't know and were making it up.
or... if (as seems painfully clear) you have no idea of what the actual figure is - then what proportion of the police budget do you think would be reasonable for traffic offenses?
(I don't know whether it would be nice or not - but I don't live in a vicarage - nor is my house made of ivory! Nor do I read the Guardian. and - just to be clear - there's always one (what?) that doesn't lose its spots?)
