Surely that should be in the "Today I'm ecstatic about" thread.

I'm not usually angry about anything. But today (and angry might still be the wrong word), I'm miffed about the brass instrument "The Baritone".

On it's own, it's fairly harmless, in the hands of an expert it can be fairly wonderful.

In the hands of a 9 year old kid for the next 8 months. HELP!

My daughter plays the Recorder, the Violin and the Piano equally well. That is, not.

My brother was learning to play trumpet and one evening was annoying me with it whilst I was trying to do my homework at the dining table, so I picked up a grapefruit out of the fruitbowl and whacked it in the hole. Chipped his tooth. He didn't do it again ;)

Try being a primary school teacher and having to sit through entire concerts of tuneless brats attempting to play 'Mary had a little lamb' on the recorder, then you'll really know what hell is...

At work now there's been a circuit breaker tripped which has taken out my PCs. My lappy has about 27mins to go before it dies. Fairy nuff, I'll sit with my feet up.
Not a problem cept the maintenance guys can't locate the circuit breaker to reset it.
Apparently the breaker in question doesn't exist anywhere on site.
And I work in a ferking power station.

Gave me a laugh Hoss. I worked for The National Computing Centre and part of my job was Site Service. Number of times there's been complete panic about why something was down (even amongst the IT guys) when all it took was to go to the Switch Room and see which switch had tripped and flip it back. Most of the time it was because female staff think that it's okay to plug one extension lead into another one and run sixteen fans/heaters, printers etc all of 13 amps.

:D
We're back on now.
No exaggeration, it took three blokes an hour of staring at the schematics and scratching their heads before they asked their supervisor who told them just to check all the breakers and switch on the one that was off.
