Watson and Simpson are playing target golf. Whatever Watson's on, I want some.

21 birdies for the Americans this afternoon, 7 for Europe.
Monty just making the point on sky that we are playing like shithouses.
Not good enough.

No, we're really not. They're just playing a bit better.BWFC_Insane wrote:21 birdies for the Americans this afternoon, 7 for Europe.

I was looking forward to watching the last 7-9 holes tonight after work-5.30pm New york time..
I might have to leave early, i.e NOW, if I want to watch any live play at all the way this afternoon is going!!

Monty making the point that earlier 6 of our lot were over or level par with their individual balls.TANGODANCER wrote:No, we're really not. They're just playing a bit better.BWFC_Insane wrote:21 birdies for the Americans this afternoon, 7 for Europe.

And in this game as Monty said you have to be way better than that.
When you have the backup of a partner you need to be shooting birdies.
Bottom line is the Americans have made more than double the number of birdies we have this afternoon. We are very poor....

If the afternoon finishes as it is right now we'll be two points behind going into the singles. Far from over yet.BWFC_Insane wrote:Monty making the point that earlier 6 of our lot were over or level par with their individual balls.TANGODANCER wrote:No, we're really not. I'm with Tango - we are not that poor but the Americans are dropping a lot of long putts. Thank goodness for the Belgian chap.

And there are more pairs tomorrow before the singles....
Still need to do better tomorrow than they've played today!

BBC: Colsaerts, eyes burning with intent, sweeps in his eagle putt to take him and Westwood two up against Woods and Stricker. If Europe could only escape with a point from that one...

Colsaerts has putted (and driven) brilliantly. Rory looks like he might be making a move.thebish wrote:BBC: Colsaerts, eyes burning with intent, sweeps in his eagle putt to take him and Westwood two up against Woods and Stricker. If Europe could only escape with a point from that one...

Aye, shame he's having to do it all on his own as Westwood has been worse than useless.....TANGODANCER wrote:Colsaerts seven birdie's and an eagle and only one up with two to play.

Re: The Ryder Cup
Big point that.
Even so we have to start making birdies tomorrow, and put pressure on the Americans.
Otherwise I can't see them faltering.
We have to up our game.

Re: The Ryder Cup
The patriotic home support was well in evidence today. So too were the "in the hole" idiots.Be really grand to shut them all up and win.....please..

Re: The Ryder Cup
What time does the action kick off? Haven't got Sky and was out most of the day, but watched all the afternoon stuff right to the end on an excellent stream from First Row Sports-Golf.
