What are you playing tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Does everything have to sound like the Mumfords...even Icelandic folks?

Mick Hucknall, American Soul :oops:

'Thats How Strong My Love is' is an absolute cracking soul song. I might even have to investigate the album. Never thought I would say that about Hucknall.

Did you see/hear how dreadful they were on Later last week? Truly awful. And when are they going to fire that drummer off that sounds like he's building a fecking shed?

I have to put them up/down there as one of the two worst bands I've ever seen on Later, the other being Glasvegas.

Agreed - but why's it got so bad? It used to be fantastic but now they have bands on like, well, Bloc Party.

I feel dirty and ashamed. Listening to some Blake Shelton after his win at the Country Music awards. I'm enjoying it :oops:

Terry Callier - Image

A great US folk/blues guy who passed away today. I dug out an old download I had & reminded me of just how bloody good he was.

its always been no good.

its too "try to please everyone in one episode"

themed eps would be better. tho' suspect only the fat dudes with guitars episodes would get watched at all.

"todays episode comes from a warehouse in blackburn with dj sasha on the ones and twos!"

*cricket noises*

I like a1 normally

We tend to be on the same wavelength, but I like Later

Its all about tasters

I've stopped watching it, cos each viewing resulted in the download of 4 albums by bands I'd never normally have come across

yeah, i get that... the getting LPs and Music Tips off unexpected places, thats what its supposed to do, i wouldnt stop watching it for that, if owt , that would make me watch it more. i just dont like the mish mash. dont think it gels. so i cant tell if something's good, or not.

with me , it were more mtv2 from the days of the minimalist tetris effect "channel idents" which i think were Designers Republic ones. that used to be an amazing channel. "incredible string band !?! next to james brown !? fuuuck! "

going in records shops is the best for "whats this?" "oh, cool *gets everything theyve done*" .

i'm glad its on. even if i dont really watch it [the odd time, i do] . else some bell like nick grimshaw would be doing it turning it into a visible radio1 and then i'd see that everywhere, whether i'd want to or not.

favourite ever youtube clip. related to this kinda stuff, - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMSap7ZbJA0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

or maybe it this- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jdhz9YBm5Io" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

song in the first clip = A++

song in the second clip = minus infinity and one (pun intended)

i'll change my mind a bit , coz ive just found out there were an ep of Later..WJH ; with MePhiMe on. Which is amazing.. not sure if its worth sitting thru simply red for though. [urgh, thats proving my point :( ]

Bruce yer a legend :pray:

I'd got this for my birthday in August but had only got round to listening to it the once. Took it with us to Wales this week. What a feckin album - we played it almost constantly. On the strength of it, I've ordered 2 of their other albums and we'll be off to see em at the Ritz in February.

Lyrically superb and every track a belter
