Well done WHW. Third one is last thing you see before reaching the main city "Capital"...
I think the Americans sometimes call it a "point" as well as a period. If I'm wrong....well, tough.

Think the second bloke is Steve Bing. He had a bit of a dabble with Liz Hurley.

More clues please, Harry G.

I'll have a go at beer.

The cow is a Holstein. (Pils)
Badger produce things like the dangerously drinkable Tanglefoot.
And I'm sure I've had beers from a brewery called Bear Town at various festivals. Is it based in somewhere like Macc or Stoke?

wow. That is not the answer I was after. The next two things I was going to post were of a monkey, and a dog. The trouble is your answer would have covered those too: Blue Monkey brewery and Brewdog. So I'll have to concede. Well done.
:oyea:
The actual answer I was after was not only were they animal nouns, but they were verbs for human actions too...
To bear witness
To badger a friend
To cow an opponent into submission
To monkey about
To dog a customer with unwanted questions...

The cow is a genetically modified (cloned) antipodean dairy cow called Daisy.
The badger is threatened because it (allegedly and questionably) causes bovine TB - thus causing alarm an despondency to the Green party leadership
The female (clearly) brown bear does yoga in a Finnish zoo (Yogi Bear?).

Yogi Bear, Bill Badger and Daisy the cow - much beloved cartoon characters who drink beer.

Is Holsten Pils still around? I don't think I've seen it for ages. I used to drink it when I was 18.

Right - I shall resurrect this one from a few pages back.
