Ex boss has invited me round for a spot of dinner with him and his Mrs, before retiring to the drawing room for a chat and doubtlessly a shed load of Amarone and Cognac.

May the bridges I burn light your way

It got better and better as the play went on... The central performance is fantastic (this also gets better and better)... Her voice is amazing... If you speak French fluently I think you might find the accent strays a little, but not in any really disturbing way... Piaf led a mad life, one with more sorrow than joy, you suspect, and the play doesn't shirk this... But still, she has no regrets... all the best brilliant songs are there, and this actress sure can sing... you'll enjoy, I suspect. Post and let us know!LeverEnd wrote:Let me know how it was. Well, it certainly pays never to burn one's bridges, I find. Regarding the latter though, Boris -boltonboris wrote:New job in the offing, or do they swing?Bruce Rioja wrote:Ex boss has invited me round for a spot of dinner with him and his Mrs, before retiring to the drawing room for a chat and doubtlessly a shed load of Amarone and Cognac.

Yes I'll let you know, cheers. I do speak French more or less fluently , but with a Great Lever accent, so I won't be judging anyone else's harshly!William the White wrote:It got better and better as the play went on... Would highly recommend Dogstock 3-day live music event at The Dog and Partridge. I'll be there today and tomorrow as well, last night was great. Headline act Arse Full of Chips were surprisingly good. Bank Top Port o call went down well too.

^ just been and got back safely! Advantage of living within a five minute drive. Car parks were only half full at 11.30am.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
