A nation packed to the rafters with the morbidly obese is shamed by a man that rode his bike up hundreds of miles of mountain roads!

Re: Le Tour!
I've followed cycling a bit over the years due to Armstrong and read his autobiography a while ago convinced that he was the victim of slurs and a French agenda. I was hoping against hope it wasn't true.
Bobo has it right though. He would never have admitted it if the evidence against him hadn't become so overwhelming. He should never be allowed back into the sporting arena. Tw*t

That sign, 2399, proves that librarians do have a sense of humour. Well, I grinned.
Re: Le Tour!
Have to admit I was a bit baffled by the staunch support by HP of Lance in response to the allegations that he was a cheat. While I like cycling, it was a sport rife with drugs and everyone assumed (although couldn't prove), that Lance was doped up big time throughout those years. Don't really look down on him for it, since the cycling world was so reluctant to deal with the problem seriously for a long time. In many ways they condoned drug use, at least that's how I felt. Where Lance really falls down, is not even the denials, since if you are going to cheat you have to be prepared to deny it, but the bullying tactics he used on all critics. He really used his power to destroy the lives of the accusers. That says the most about him. Now that HP is aware of this side of Lance's personality he probably feels a bit of shame in hindsight.

Re: The Sign.
It seems, 2399, that Manly council got its knickers in a knot over Mr.Dee's sign.

"Reviewing procedures"? Administrative gobbledygook! There are times when I despair of the over governance we have to bear.

Ah. One of them must've dropped his stash and they all bicycled into it. Thanks for the update.

Re: Le Tour!
Happy that Cavendish won today, can hopefully get the green jersey again.
Re: Le Tour!
Yesterday was the finish I'd been dreaming of. Opqs and lotto trains going full at it on either side of the road and then the best 3 sprinters in the world all gunning for the line. In the end Cav did it comfortably, thanks mainly to an awesome effort from steegmans. As for green, Sagan will have that sewn up for many years to come. Cavendish wont even be close.

Re: Le Tour!
still fancy cav for today's stage, though. Very flat, Sagan can't get a lead on the hillier ones like he does.
Re: Le Tour!
Oh aye. Cav is faster than Sagan and will beat him 8/10 times in a flat stage. Difference is Sagan will always be at the end of hillier stages long after Cav has been dropped. That's why he'll get green, much like hushvod did a few years back
