I thought you might have done sommat cleverer.
New xbox has HDMi in so you can run your Sky box through it directly. Supposedly less than a second to switch between games and TV. Which sounds nice. But I think they are adding a load of stuff on top of it eventually where it is properly integrated. Of course that will happen in the US but not here.
Bollocks to em!

Confused.com If you need a hdmi, why would you run it through your sky throuth your xbox. The thing's going to be in spitting distance of your sky box anyhow, so it sounds a bit like save yerself the bother...I use my xbox in a different room from my sky box...BWFC_Insane wrote:Ahhh. Because you can control everything through your Xbox then. So you just say "Xbox TV" and your SKY will come on. Not sure if you can change channel by voice command yet. You will also be able to use the snap feature and have the footy scores on in the top corner via Sky sports or whatever you watch whilst playing a game at the same time. This is just a couple of the many features.

I have voice command in my car - I don't use it that often, but it's sort of useful to change radio channels, stick a CD on, call someone on the 'phone etc. it's certainly not a precise science though and misinterprets your voice quite often. The technology isn't new.ChrisC wrote:Because you can control everything through your Xbox then. So you just say "Xbox TV" and your SKY will come on. I'll probably get an XBOX ONE and probably a PS4 too because they're gadgets. I'm not "sold" on XBOX ONE yet.

Have you not managed to swing it so you pay corporation tax at 20% rather than income tax though? Would offset that loss I imagine!General Mannerheim wrote:I used to do things like that when I still got paid holidays, or sick leave!!mrkint wrote:Booked a week off to go back home in october. Yeah I don't see the fuss over voice commands. Seen the new kinect demoed and it does look a big improvement. But what am I going to use it for?Worthy4England wrote:I have voice command in my car - I don't use it that often, but it's sort of useful to change radio channels, stick a CD on, call someone on the 'phone etc. it's certainly not a precise science though and misinterprets your voice quite often. Some of the games on the Xbox one look decent. I will probably buy one once the price goes down and once the inevitable problems are ironed out.
PS4 doesn't grab me at all.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 Thread
They haven't announced so yet (not even announced a pc version), but i can't see why they wouldn't if sales go as expected
Re: The Official Xbox 360 Thread
Bloody hell, had a quick look on amazon and there seems to be an awful lot of launch titles! Christ knows which I'll get.mrkint wrote:They haven't announced so yet (not even announced a pc version), but i can't see why they wouldn't if sales go as expected
Re: The Official Xbox 360 Thread
How did someone realise that so quickly?
Re: The Official Xbox 360 Thread
GTA will be on next gen but not for around a year apparently.
As for waiting for FIFA.. It's free with Xbox One day one addition pre orders. If you buy it on current gen then places like game have said they will do a £10 and old gen fifa for the new gen version.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 Thread
Games like GTA are a bad influence on the youth in my opinion. Selling drugs, pinching cars, beating up and robbing tarts, blowing up police cars and all such stuff. Would it not be more envigorating and stop kids growing up being obese to put on a pair of dunlop trainers and a parka (like I did when I was a kid) and do these things for real????
