Blimey, well done.Annoyed Grunt wrote:Persevering with Agents of Shield.......
So utterly uninspiring for bobo's attention to maintain.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I've been trying to do the same, fallen asleep 3 times inside the first 10 minutes.thebish wrote:on sunday afternoon, it seems, am taking daughter to see the Hunger Games 2 - just when you thought it was safe to be poor - or summat

Jennifer Lawrence. Seriously, that girl would look good dead.

... The main reason I keep trying!
Re: What are you watching tonight?
I enjoyed the first film. I'd have really loved it as a teenager, and probably would have spent lots of time considering Jennifer's attractiveness in a my private reflective moments. (I prefer her breathing btw, if anyone is wondering about my choice of quote.)Prufrock wrote:Jennifer Lawrence. Seriously, that girl would look good dead.

Interesting stuff, Bobby George just described himself as 'the Beckham of darts'. Classic quote, "You're more recognisable ent ya? Camera always on the old boat race."
I saw an interview once where he claimed he honed his accuracy from an early age by throwing knived.
He did win a world title SJM, but was never as good aat darts as his profile would suggest.
His son plays now I notice.
Did he? Not BDO though?
I remember watching his son in the last BDO thingy - looked to be off his tits on summat. Lost to Scotty Waites in semi.

Fair point, he didn't. He was runner-up twice, my mistake.
I suppose it kind of illustrates my other point, you tend to assume that due to his profile he was better than he was.

that's not how it works when you have a teenage daughter!
Re: What are you watching tonight?
now I have wrangled the Xbox to receive Netflix US (thanks to CAPS for the idea!) am dipping my toe into Twin Peaks as I didn't really get to grips with it first time around..
(the backing strings on the program were very familiar - about half way through I realised that that's what Moby sampled for his choon: "Go")

ahhh - will ask her if she's interested...
just back from the hunger games...
turns out it's a fecking trilogy - so the thing ended unfinished - which is a bummer - and (double-bummer) the missus reckons that the third part will be split into 2 parts - making it 4...
anyway - entertaining enough, and it's always a pleasure to watch a fillum sat next to my daughter, she gets really immersed in the drama - it's very sweet!

All the best trilogies come in four parts.
