The Christmas thread

Our do tonight. A few of us are meeting up at the hotel first though for Champagne and Schnapps. Oh yes. Oh, and I've had my working class roots questioned for suggesting that wild strawberries go well with Champagne - look, they just do.

Only yesterday I was congratulating myself on having survived to the 12th of December without hearing Noddy Holder's Christmas song.

Last night the local Round Table came past ours dragging a, rankly rather poor, tableau with a Santa on it and that song was belting out.

Then today I caught a little off the radio. I managed to divert my attention to window cleaning and so pushed on & past it.


Not bad though.


Now, don't get me wrong though. I generally have time for the force of nature that is Noddy Holder. He was very much 'of my time' but that fckg song has ruled the roost for about 40 years now & frankly it should be put to bed, once & for all.

Best Christmas song ever....for me.

photoshop a picture of you and the missus in the place you have booked and stick it to a card... include a pair of your very sexiest undies...

it wouldn't have to be a new one - just a symbolic one - presumably she's got one anyway! buy her a going away bag from a charity shop.. it's just summat to open and a symbol of the real thing...

You could get her a travel toothbrush and mini tube of toothpaste and put it in with them. Needn't cost much, the main thing it is related to the going away thing.
