New Year's Ball
Just for a bit of fun. A top notch affair on New year's Eve and it's fancy dress mandatory. You can go as whoever you like, regardless of cost for costumes, no expense spared. Who do you want to be for the evening? Pictures wherever possible.
Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?
Re: New Year's Ball
Going of the point a bit but I am considering getting up at midnight just to prove a point to all those people who stay up for the countdown to the new year.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Re: New Year's Ball
Everybody else stays up till midnight (its just an excuse to get pissed) midnight comes they have one more drink then go to bed. Given I am going to be on my own tomorrow and Wednesday I thought I might do something a bit different to what the majority of other people do in this country.

Family get together. Few beers/wine, food (goulash made yesterday and hopefully improving with age) followed by fireworks at midnight, then off to bed. Really can't be bothered going out on NYE.

You wouldn't get me there for quids, TANGO. Nevertheless if you sent round a couple of Farnworth's finest I'd come as one of GG's twins. It'd probably be as Bottom as I am most assuredly not a queen.TANGODANCER wrote:Just for a bit of fun. A top notch affair on New year's Eve and it's fancy dress mandatory. Re: New Year's Ball
I haven't read a book on such a subject. I just see that celebrating of the new year is a bit pointless and a waste of money when lots of people don't have much. Its just an excuse to get p*ssed basically and I will stick by that opinion.jaffka wrote:You are a dick and I claim my £10.bwfcdan94 wrote:Its only a bit of fun no need to get all arse about it, you are a dictator and I will claim my internet £5.jaffka wrote:You rebel and trendsetter youbwfcdan94 wrote:Everybody else stays up till midnight (its just an excuse to get pissed) midnight comes they have one more drink then go to bed. Quite seriously for a second - the original 'How to Win Friends and Influence People' by Dale Carnegie is well worth a read. A classic.bwfcdan94 wrote: I haven't read a book on such a subject.
