Can only assume Kabbadi on Ch4 had finished if you chose to watch thatBurnden Paddock wrote:Women's BDO World Darts final on BBC2. Lisa Ashton from Bolton fighting back from 2 sets down to 2-2. One leg up in the deciding set.

Just watched 'Adaptation', I reckon most screenwriters would kill to come up with one idea as good as the ones Charlie Kaufman seems to come up with.

Watched it because of local involvement and I know her b-I-l. Turned out to be a cracking match tbf. Wasn't far off the quality of the men's BDO from what I've seen of it.CAPSLOCK wrote:Can only assume Kabbadi on Ch4 had finished if you chose to watch thatBurnden Paddock wrote:Women's BDO World Darts final on BBC2. Re: What are you watching tonight?
Loved the ending on season 2 though.
I'm up to season 5 episode 1 of my rewatch. The last two episodes of season 4 are amongst the best in TV history. Only beaten by three episodes in season 5 and a couple of episodes of The Wire and 24 in my opinion.
Speaking of 'the best ever', I still need to start The Sopranos (been waiting until the blu ray box set comes down in price but it's not happening so might have to just buy it anyways) and finish The Shield.

Been to see Railway Man, big disappointment. Lacks menace and emotion, not powerful enough to do the book justice. Should've got Steve McQueen directing it!
Also saw Wolf of Wall Street at the weekend. OMG and I hate that expression! Need to calm down a little before I post about that. but it's just immeasurably unutterably ACE.
OMFG.

Watched Body of Lies the other day. Realised about 15 minutes in that I'd seen it before. Carried on, because he's ace.boltonboris wrote:Wolf of Wall Street does look good, but it doesn't look edgy enough or will have enough saves or disabled people to win an Oscar. Snobbish bastards always pick a shit film that's 5 hours long to appear cool and "against the main".
Di Caprio is mint though. Everything he's in is top notch.
Then watched Silver Linings Playbook again tonight because my house mate had never seen it. Worth it for J-Law.

Can't say I'm surprised it's given you this reaction. I'm thinking about going to the cinema to see it again when it comes out, and I've never done that before.General Mannerheim wrote:Been to see Railway Man, big disappointment. Silver Linings Playbook is also pretty great.

Me too, without doubt.
love this Brett Easton Ellis tweet this morning... "@BretEastonEllis
THE WOLF OF WALL STREET is so obviously the best movie of 2013 by a landslide I don't understand why we're giving awards to anything else"

Apparently there are some turning up their noses at the capitalist 'message'. Looks very good to me.General Mannerheim wrote:Me too, without doubt.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Injured myself last week when I was snowboarding and spent my days off watching:
1. Silver Linings Playbook (everyone's talking about it here), which was great. J-Law
2. Blue Valentine - the punch in the face you need after watching the previous cheery movie.

Will you let us know what it's like please, Beefheart? I'm away so can't watch it. Ordinarily I've no time for that pair, but the ads I saw for it looked quite good.Beefheart wrote:About to watch the new vic and bob show!

Re: What are you watching tonight?
If you arent a fan of their other stuff Im not sure youll like it. Closer to ‘bang bang’ and ‘the smell of’ tha shooting stars, but the sort of surreal humour id expect from them. I loved it, but then ive loved everything theyve ever done.Bruce Rioja wrote:Will you let us know what it's like please, Beefheart? I'm away so can't watch it. I'm pretty sure that was canned laughter? Disappointing if so.
Re: What are you watching tonight?
There was definitely a studio audience. I applied for tickets to the recording of the pilot but couldn't go in the end. Whether they actually laughed, I don't know.General Mannerheim wrote:I'm pretty sure that was canned laughter? Disappointing if so.

Edging ever closer to Hayley Cropper's death. Gonna be a sad one indeed.
''Amazing! Out of nothing Bolton are level. A quick throw, Kevin Nolan keeps play alive in the box and finds Kevin Davies on the left who lashes a shot under Oliver Kahn.''
