Like, where they've hidden the plane?CrazyHorse wrote:According to the Beeb...Annoyed Grunt wrote:For what reason?CrazyHorse wrote:This story is getting weirder and weirder...
Apparently now some of the families of the passengers are threatening to go on hunger strike.
"Relatives of the Chinese passengers on the missing Malaysia Airlines flight have threatened a hunger strike if the Malaysian authorities fail to provide more accurate information."

I'm personally not expecting rationality from a group of people whose relatives are missing presumed dead. Presumed because no-one has the slightest f*cking clue as to where they are. I think I'll cut them some slack this week on that basis.

^^^ Very true. The whole situation is incredibly bizarre and must be driving those relatives crazy.. So far it a field day for conspiracy theorists and other assorted cranks.Lord Kangana wrote:I'm personally not expecting rationality from a group of people whose relatives are missing presumed dead. True, but some of them are absolute crackers...Montreal Wanderer wrote:So far it a field day for conspiracy theorists and other assorted cranks.
I don't think if hijacked all passengers would be killed. Criminal long range thinkers would "breed" genetically camoflouged nextgen terrorists. They have patience for their cause.
According to officials the last words "alright, good night" were recorded 1:19am. When i look into those numbers they also could be read as 9/11...

What LK said.
As far as theories go, it appears to have become an excuse for a shit load of amateur Sherlock Holmes to come up with word and wonderful pet theories. This on its own merits seems the most plausible to me:

The trouble with that exceedingly simple theory ignores at least three exceedingly simple facts.Prufrock wrote:What LK said.

Fact 1. the plane manoevered between way points after overflying the Malaysian peninsula (as evidenced by military radar (Malaysian) and backed up by newly released data (Thai military radar) which shows that it headed away from any landing strip not towards one.
Fact 2. The major International airport at Ho Chi Minh City was nearer than the non-international airport landing strip at Pulau Langkawi and also wouldn't have needed any manoevering to reach it as the plane was already going to be overflying it.
Fact 3. The plane was still flying seven hours later. It was either under the guidance of somebody alive, or (if everybody on board was already dead through asphyxiation) it wasn't heading to Pulau Langkawi because the handshake the satellite picked up was not on a straight line extended beyond Pulau Langkawi.
Those three facts make his exceedingly simple explanation turn into an exceedingly simple piece of nonsense.

That's a given, hardly a conspiracy theory, your status as a nutter is seriously in doubt if that's the best you can come up with.Lord Kangana wrote:My bet is that it involves Muslamic rayguns.

Re: Malaysia Airlines MH370
My gaffer has a screen grab on his phone from the Malaysian airline's website with the caption:
"Lose yourself on a journey of epic proportions" and "wherever you go, no-one will ever know"
It was taken off the site a day after the flight went missing.
IT'S A CONSPIWACY

According to the news, they think they've found 2 large pieces of the plane in the Indian Ocean.
They just need Tattoo from Fantasy Island to confirm it

Lad at work who used to work on planes has said all along he thinks its that slow decompression (like the Greek one a while back). Which would explain irrational actions, change of direction, lowering of height (you can open doors below 5000ft apparently).
