Re: Early One Morning
Once the run ends I'll happily disclose my thinking for the particular ending i chose... I would be happy if clapton felt it possible to delete his spoiler, though...
AND... can I say I'm just so pleased that people on here who've seen the play have responded so positively... I worked on this play for a year in 1997/98... and did some mending of that script for this production... all of it aiming to tell a story to make an audience feel and think... And I clutch happily at every straw that says I managed that...
Tonight's show report has dropped into my inbox - it was only a quarter full tonight... that is sad... Many of that small number stood to applaud at the end... that makes it feel so worthwhile...

I'm glad they finally found the time to review it. The Guardian is practically the only national daily prepared to venture to theatres outside London.Bruce Rioja wrote:Good write-up in the Morning Star

Re: Early One Morning
Very moving and powerful production, I thought the cast were excellent as in Journey's End. It was sensitively done and the dream scenes with the nurse made the sense of loss even keener. My two mates were both very complimentary too, hats off to the playwright!

Is this going to be a live commentary?

At the train station now.
Excellent.
Does that word do it justice?

BP ruined a f*cking outstanding live text theatre experience there !
