Re: Where are you going tonight?
Just got back from watching Lee Mack at the Liverpool Philarmonic Hall. Absolutely fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed his adlibbing and ripping the piss out of scoucers. He genuinly seemed to enjoy it too. Excellent.
Hope is what keeps us going.

I can tell you where I won't be going at all, and that's to watch Phoenix Nights at the Nynex.
£62.75 a bloody ticket.

Re: Where are you going tonight?
Sun Kil Moon, the musical act I have been gushing over for the past few weeks, has cancelled tonight's concert at the best venue in the North of England. I am upset.

True. He's off doing a play called Tree with Tim Key at The Old Vic in January (that was on at the Royal Exchange last year).General Mannerheim wrote:wouldnt expect to see Daniel Kitson tho...

Plus, he doesn't like Peter Kay and thought Phoenix Nights was shit (not a direct quote).Little Green Man wrote:True. Being as this too isn't happening until next year I could just as easily have put this in the Happy thread. I've just been sent a mail to tell me that the magnificent Manchester Orchestra will be playing at Leeds Festival on Thu, Aug 27, 2015.
Now, not that I've the slightest intention of going to Leeds festival, but their attendance suggests to me that they're about to release UK dates. fecking get in.

I always think about blaming football for the massive rises in ticket prices in everything else.Bruce Rioja wrote:I can tell you where I won't be going at all, and that's to watch Phoenix Nights at the Nynex.

I suppose the musicians would blame the low margin on recorded music.

Re: Where are you going tonight?
The Princess & I are meeting a few former colleagues in Manny tomorrow evening and have booked a nosebag at Las Iguanas.
It's a good few years since I've been but I remember being very pleasantly surprised when I last went.
They're still doing the two-for-one cocktails too.

Never had a bad meal in there yet, good food in good surroundings served by very nice staff. Have a great night.

Re: Where are you going tonight?
One of my bezzie mates appears in Panto regularly and being as we always hook up wherever he happens to be doing it I'm obliged to go and sit through it at least once. The phrase money for old rope has never been more appropriate. Lots of money at that.

Re: Where are you going tonight?
Certainly was. We thought it not quite as good as previous years. Warwick Davies was great, born to it, but Priscilla Presley was very poor. No comic timing and a real weak link in the show.twilight wrote:Was it Snow White at the Opera House you went to Clapton?clapton is god wrote:Grandchildren + panto in Manchester = magic!
A bit there in white just in case your next line is "we're there tomorrow!"
