It's more of a "I got it before you.. Nerr nerr" scenario I think

I once went to ASDA at 12:30am to buy the new Pro Evo, but I was a student who only got up about 2pm so no worries.

I was listening to the wireless earlier and they had a segment on 'Line-Standers'. This is an American thing (surprise, surprise) where they employ people to queue up for them. They were talking to people in the Apple / iPhone queue and there were quite a few who were employed to stand there or were doing it for charity i.e. I'm looking for people (suckers) who want to buy my position in the queue. Apparently one woman has been queuing since Monday just to be first in line and she wanted a sizable amount of money to relinquish her position. I can only imagine like Bruce said so they can say "Guess who is ringing you on a new iPhone5".

I really do despair at people queuing to purchase a phone or something similar just so they can bore the shit out of everyone that they got the first from a particular shop.

The Map App appears controversial. See some results here.

So the iPhone 5 has been released. I know they are a good product but this is the reason why I don't like Apple, it's products and the vast majority of their users. Take a look at these photo's and the comments at the side. The first person who bought the iPhone in London is auctioning it off for charity. How much does he think he will get? Why not wait a week (or month) and get one at the massively over-inflated normal price instead of a ridiculously over the top price?

I know not all Apple users are Fanboys but please these must be some of the saddest people on planet earth. And that is not even mentoning the staff. Who would willingly degrade themselves and lower their own self-esteem to these levels?

What are you gonna do on it?

My iPad hardly has owt on it, except for apps. I don't bother with storing films or music on it, as my music is on the iPod.

iPad is mainly used for work emails, interweb surfing, and a few apps.

So in my case I'd never need 32GB.

I guess depends what you want to do though.

As for 3 vs 2, 3 is retina, so a higher resolution. If it bothers you....

3 is heavier, has shorter battery life. But can display better graphics at a higher resolution. This really only impacts on games, and I can't imagine you're buying an ipad for games.

Clearly everything looks "sharper" on the 3, films, web pages, but not enough IMO to matter for what the ipad is used for, in my experience.

I guess if the display difference bothers you then get the 3, if not then the 2 is cheaper and lighter.
