Compared to most football fan forums this is a positive haven. Where else can you find such a wealth of topics as The Pope, world politics and economics, Australian amateur radio stations, pitch-forks and bedsheets, music, food and Lion bars down toilets?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: TW Members. Introspection on an Epic scale.
It's a nice forum. Good mix of everything really.
There are a few cliques, but you know, it's the internet and that. And anyway there are loads other posters who couldn't give a toss about thebish's and bwfci's special playtimes.
Some posters annoy me sometimes. But then again everyone will annoy everyone else at some point. Not a big deal.
It can also be very helpful for a variety of reasons, somethnig I know from personal experience.
All in all, it's a good forum.
Shame all this nice stuff gets spoiled by Bolton pissing Wanderers.

Just think I could of supported any team and joined and forum but I chose The Wanderer aren't you all lucky. I think it is great we have such a mix of people on here in terms of age, character and location.TANGODANCER wrote:Compared to most football fan forums this is a positive haven. Do not forget the cricket thread, I love winding the Aussie's up on that cricket thread.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Really, Dan? You had best hone your 'winding up' skills then.bwfcdan94 wrote: . . . Do not forget the cricket thread, I love winding the Aussie's up on that cricket thread.

Incidentally, Dan, I am not Australian. You might not be aware of it so I shall repeat what I've said before: I was raised in the Bolton area (Harwood) but have lived in Australia since mid 1955. When it comes to the Ashes series I am strictly neutral.

Fair enough, I think I was using the wrong words to describe my dealings in the cricket thread, it is more I likeDujon wrote:Really, Dan? You had best hone your 'winding up' skills then.bwfcdan94 wrote: . . . Do not forget the cricket thread, I love winding the Aussie's up on that cricket thread.

1. Talking about cricket
2. Finding out from somebody living in Aus. such as yourself what is going on in the world of Australian cricket
3. Quietly basking in our test sides glory just as many of the other members do

Ah, number three then?
You are perfectly entitled to do so, Dan.

Are you sure you were looking at the right scorecard, Dan?

Re: TW Members. Introspection on an Epic scale.
You're adopted country have been firmly put in their place, you were 86-2 or something like that at one point.

He's around, fear not. Probably busy relocating in his job but he'll be hovering about.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:what's happened to the Hoss. I missed his last day, and then suddenly there he is gone. Not a word. Is he now basking on the dole fathering 17 children in order to farm the benefits?

It does indeedy Monty. I'm far too busy and professional these days to spend hours at a time tossing it off on here. Mind I've been reading through on my phone on my lunch break, which basically means I just delete the 700 kitchen adverts and feel endless sadness at the fact we still don't have a proper transfer gossip thread yet.

we can start a transfer thread and cheer ourselves up by putting Phil Neville at the top!CrazyHorse wrote:It does indeedy Monty.
