I hunted for the telly. Only 32" which is quite big enough and got it for less than $500.

Use cable?

I am not sure how your house is set up, but my router is in a different room from my Xbox. I am not going to run the cord through the living room from the office.

theres a chance the usb wifi pen thingy that usually are bundled with your router will work.

the odds are slim though.

Cheaper than $100, perhaps a solution?

That said, feck knows where you are paying $100 for that wireless unit, you can get it for £30 in the UK now!

Last I checked it was still 100.00. I'm not that bothered yet. I'll investigate further when I can afford 60.00 at least.

Next game I'm gonna end up getting is Assassins Creed 2, there's absolutely nothing else which is catching my eye.

That is unless you count that trials game coming out on XBLA.

I've been playing Worms Armageddon 2 recently. Awesome.

the trailers look fantastic, mind you the first game looked fantastic but was boring as shit!

read they have put a lot more effort into creating diversity between missions this time though? hope so anyway.

Yeah I know, they have a lot to iron out in this one. I had a big problem with the camera views on fight scenes. Mixed with the fact that I'm easily angered when gaming, it wasn't pretty.

Enjoy. Make sure you have an HDTV.

Surround sound as well if possible using the digital input from the xbox.

Don't make the common mistake of thinking Fifa/Pro evo are at all representative of real life or even a decent simulation.

Don't buy assassins creed unless looking at pretty pictures excites you.

You won't be saying that once you've played Fifa 10.

Oh and Assassins Creed is a great game.

:lmfao: Oh aye, that's exactly where my student loan will be going. HDTV hahha.

Oh wait...and SURROUND SOUND. Yep got that too

And sorry I didn't really explain fully, I'm already a bit of a gamer, am a Pro Evo pro for example, owning every single one right back to International Superstar Soccer days, but I've always had a Playstation. Really like the PS3, but there are hardly any games, and I can't justify that much cash. Now I've gone Microsoft, what sort of thing does the Xbox do well? Is something like Live worth it? That kinda thing. Thanks in advance.

Without starting a console war, that's bollocks mate. There are some top drawer exclusive titles on both consoles.

LIVE...is worth it if you are going to play a lot of online gaming, because that's what MS do well, online gaming.

It's also worth it if you want to buy XBLA (Xbox Live Arcade) titles, like Trials HD and Shadow Complex, which in my opinion are essential titles for a 360 owner to have on their HDD.

As a complete NOOB on XBOX Live - is there anything in particular I should be heading to? (Not sure I've got too many games for XBOX that are co-op or deathmatch types)

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty 5 are good multiplayer games - might ind your self on them for hours!

Aside from the gaming, does anyone use their xbox as a media centre? Extremely impressed with mine. Just runs films off the laptop through the tele, over the network.
