I assume you've tried the toothpaste method of fixing the disc?

Oh and you definitely should try installing from your disc before renting/borrowing, it's likely to work!
I still can't find where to install it? A google search had lots of people telling me how good it is without how to actually do it. I went on games library, but only the bottom two options were available, and both are links to xbox live.

This mean I can't do it? If not it's going back tomorrow after work (the game, not the console)

Firstly, and sorry for probably asking a numb question but you have got the avatar enabled NXE dashboard and not the original 'blade' system haven't you? Because you can't install a game unless you have.

Stick the Pro Evo disc in. If it attepts to auto play then exit back to the dashboard. Goto 'My XBOX' and the first option will be a picture of the Pro Evo game asking you to play. At the bottom of the screen there's three options A-select, X-eject and Y-game details. Press Y. This brings up a new menu where you can install to hard drive.

Good luck! :D

I may have the blade system. when I put game in it always comes up with menus I can swish to the side. This sound like the old one? Is that coz it's old, or do I have to download that new thing?

Cheers for help with my idiocy all who have done so far. I shall use you again!

Thats the old one, you obviously aren't connected to LIVE.

The second you connect to LIVE, you'll get a forced update, the avatar system and the installs come with that.

You can also get the new screens by buying a xbox magazine. It will come with a disc and demos plus the updates.

Even if you are silver, and connected to LIVE, you'd get the update and thats free.

Anyway, was lucky enough to play through the entire Beatles Rock band today, and it's f*cking stunning. The care and attention to details just reeks of love.

The moment you hit the Seargent Peppers/Little Help from my friends medley you are just totally blown away.

Also played Guitar Hero 5 as well for a few hours, another brilliant game. A return to form after the awful Guitar Hero 3, World Tour, Hits, Aerosmith etc. This one is back to the GH2 form, excellent.

If you like music games you need both of these.

Oh, also got to play a certain football game, can't talk about it but...maybe this emoticon might give an inclination :

Anyone heard much about Halo 3 ODST? Is it worth it?

I'm hearing good things about it and that its far more than a Halo 3 add on as was feared initially!

Been on the FIFA demo for a bit since last night and it seems a lazy re-hash so far.

I've never been a fan of the series, always seemed like a game designed for those who found Pro Evo too hard.
Was right all along

I actually agree with Bruno on some of that. Pro Evo is the thinking-man's game.

Anybody been giving the new Fight Night a go? It's absolutely brilliant.

Whenever I've played Pro Evo, it turns into a dull affair full of solo runs and ridiculous long shot goals. It's like watching kids play in the park. There's loads of ways to score on Fifa - my mates hate playing with me cos I get the ball down the wing and fire crosses in, some of em through-ball me to death. Boo to Pro Evo

Think you must have gotten your pro-evo and fifa discs mixed up there as your description of pro-evo perfectly describes Fifa IMO. Bruno is right here, though Fifa has been getting better and pro-evo has been standing still a bit.

The only people who prefer FIFA are those who are gash at Pro Evo. If people are scoring ridiculous dribbles and long rangers, you aren't good enough at Pro Evo, simple as. BWFCi has it right in that FIFA is improving massively whereas Pro Evo is trundling vaguely forwards, but it is still far the superior game.

Similar to HRG's problem's with Pro Evo, too many of the FIFA games make free kicks ridiculously easy. My cousin scored four in one game against me on the last one. Added to the fact you can NEVER beat a man, and the fact it doesn't feel right, it's too mechanical and too glitzy. Always been a Pro Evo man, not through loyalty, just because they've always ben better.
