What are you playing tonight?

Continuing the Latin music theme, I've been listening to Nouvelle Vague (bossanova covers) and a cover album by Buena Vista Social Club. Both are excellent.

A most excellent choice, Sir. First album or second?

Belle and Sebastian are bloomin marvellous Brucey boy! how dare you!

Right now i'm relaxing to some Steely Dan.

Last night I played football and felt euphoric after two solid hours of Level 42.

What a life.

Went to see Buena Vista Social Club live at the Bridgewater Hall a couple of years ago; absolute magic.

I'll have to take you at your word for that, Doc. Like LGM, Belle and Sebastian passed me by. However, my comment was made in reference to them massaging the voting figures to land the Mercury Music Prize. Soz fert confusion. :?

The first album just shades it for me (probably because I own most of the originals of the tracks that are on it), but Bande A'Part is still a cracking listen and well worthwhile.

Have to agree with the Doc - they were very good live in Cambridge too.

DeVotchKa. They did most of the soundtrack to Little Miss Sunshine - they sound like an Eastern European gypsy rock band, similar to Beirut if anyone knows of them...

Has anybody got a Last.FM/Audioscrobbler account? Basically it calculates what music you listen to and puts it into a weekly chart and an overall chart. You can then see what you listen to most and what you listened to recently. It's very good and can be used to recommend artists.

http://www.last.fm if anyone is interested...
