apparently it's national record shop day (or summat) - so the radio is filled with pretentious knobs saying stuff like "oh yah - I always buy vinyl, I mean, yah - you can hear the scratches, which makes it authentic, yah?"

is next week national cassette tape day where the same knobs come on with: ""oh yah - I always buy vinyl, I mean, yah - you can hear the constant hiss and there's that moment when it all gets tangled in the machine, which makes it authentic, yah?"

and the week after - national pinhole camera week: "oh yah - I always take pinhole, I mean, yah - you can see the noise and it's black and white and upside-down, which makes it authentic, yah? Digital is so soul-less."
That would annoy myself as well Bish, turn the radio off and leave it off.
now THAT I AM angry about!!!

Next time that happens at school I certainly will not be returning the money, some people down here are nothing short of complete wa**ers. . It is times like this that I cannot f**king wait to finish my A- levels and move back up to Bolton.
So his bad manners have made you dishonest. Not a good trade IMHO.
It is not the first time that has happened though I have found peoples money before and have not been thanked which considering it would be rare practise for somebody in my school to act in the way I did it is appalling that I was not thanked, 97% of lads in my school would of slipped in their pocket and that would have been that. I am not saying I would take that approach outside of school, just inside school it is best to get rid of most of your morals.
Which suggests that you are thieving money off of people but then claiming to have found it and handing it back to them in a bid to make friends with them!
May the bridges I burn light your way

Took my eldest lad to an open day at Cardiff uni today, where he might apply to do a Mechanical Engineering degree next year. I was upset to find out that they no longer offer a Manufacturing Engineering degree due to dwindling interest in the course and the overall lack of manufacturing in the UK.

I understand their reasons for this and wasn't particularly surprised, or angry about it, just saddened really.
Hope is what keeps us going.

It's the Daily Mail. FFS. Of course they're going to say that "socialists are the real Nazi's" - not that I've read the article.
{Edit} Actually, let me revise that. ^ It's Hoboh. FFS. Of course he's going to put words in the Daily Mail's figurative gob.

a thursday triumvirate of annoying things!!

1) quiz shows (there was one on the telly while I waited ages in the chippy) - where the annoying trend is for contestants not simply to answer the question but to take us through their tedious and boring thought-process as they work it out. just fecking shut up and give us a fecking answer.

2) you queue for a while - behind a family of five - they are a good five mins in the queue ahead of you - and then it is only when they reach the counter that the begin the discussion about what they want... and then it transpires that there are two people back at home - so they get on the phone to ask what Kevin and Tracey want... arghhhhh!!!!

3) the new mazda advert - ""inspired by the soul of motion"????? what the feck does that mean???

Superb. Absolutely outstanding. If that post was a pigs's head I'd have it stuffed, mounted and hung over the fireplace to make my mates jealous.

Rave on, hoboh, it's a crazy feelin...

Loaning the only side door key out to my sister so that she could lose it and then suggest to my dad that I should be blaimed for lending the key to her because at the age of 15 she is unable to look after anything (she did lose her £100 phone about a month ago at school. the result of all this is we had to get the locks changed and I obviously got the blame because it was obviously completely my fault that my sister lost the key, TBF though everything that ever has, is going or ever did go wrong in the world is my fault anyway by the sounds of it.
