Fine as long as you want it blended into a soup.

I think everyone will be delighted that there has been a new iPad and Ipad Air launched today. Apart from it being thinner (and probably more fragile), there doesn't appear to be any real changes to the last one. Of course it will still revolutionise the whole tablet market.

These new tablets will be launched in November so get queuing now before it is too late. You will need up to £739 for the iPad so make sure you get half a dozen.

And just in case you have money to spare or you want to re-mortgage your house, Apple also unveiled a new range of MacBooks (not just laptops but MacBooks), starting at £849 for the 11-inch Air, up to £2,199 for the 15-inch Pro.

A new Mac Pro desktop computer will be available later this year, priced at up to £3,299. Cheap as chips.

I've always said that you don't own an Apple gadget, you only rent it off them. Apple control how you use it and what you can do on it.

Nope, I won't say it.

Dumbo question (from the wife actually, but I can't help). She got a new laptop a couple of weeks ago and just about got used to Windows 8 when she's being notified to update to Windows 8.1. She's worried that if she does she'll lose her current settings, hotmail, Skype, Facebook etc. I'm sure she's worrying about nothing, but can anybody help?

Full English Breakfast soup - I want some.

(By the way, I've got a magimix mini le plus, which will reduce anything to a liquid: onions, potatoes, carrots, apples, oranges, concrete, anything.)

The actual answer to that is, er, it depends. You might get away with it, you might not. Ideally you need to pray to Oberos the god of Operating System Upgrades, that or get an expert in to do it for you.

It'll mess with her wallpaper etc. It shouldn't mess with browser settings etc (though might with IE10). I've only updated the Samsung piece of expensive shit so far, but apart from wallpaper it hasn't really affected anything. The new start button they added is shit, so stick with Start8 or Classic Shell add-ons if you have them. If you don't have one, get one!

Just bought an Ipod touch 5th Generation 32gb from PC world £219, Quite impressed with it so far.

Biggest plus over my Nexus tab, Rear facing camera!! PICTURES! 1080p/30 video, Nice and light so don't feel it in the pocket if exercising etc.

Not tried the included earphones yet, Have my own. Anyone use them? are they any good?

"Yeah, we're just landing now, just dropping through the cloud, oh yeah I can see Vienna now, there's the Opera House, have you seen Hitler's painting of it? What? You didn't know that Hitler was Austrian? Bliiiiiiiiimey. I bet you don't know where "Goodnight Vienna" comes from either do you? No, it has absolutely nothing to do with Peter Kay. And Viennese Whirls are a British invention. I bet you didn't know that either, did you? No. Well there you go......." :fingers:

This may as well go in here. I've just read this;

A 3D printer and what is suspected to be a plastic magazine and trigger which could be fitted together to make a viable gun, at a house in Blackcarr Road, Baguley, Wythenshawe

Now, forgive my thickness here, but I take it that there are components within the printer which can also be used in the putting together of a gun, right? Only, the way the article's worded it kind of suggests that you can print off a working gun. :conf:

yeah you can in theory produce all the elements to assemble a gun - you couldnt just print off a working mechanical object.
