What are you watching tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

The First Day of the Rest of Your life... French... subtitles...

Funny, moving story of a family making family mistakes, family catastrophes, family joys, hurting and loving each other...

Made me laugh, feel sad, but it connected, had truth... long way short of a great movie, but very glad I watched it...

Maybe the heart of the story was 'we all feck up... But fathers especially'...

And I recognised the truth of that!!!

Watched Let The Right One In last night. Maybe it's just not my kinda thang? All a bit daft really. :conf:

I watched it through to the end but could've bailed out pretty much anywhere.

To the corner with you :)

Ending is poor, they made a fuss earlier about having her needing to be invited in anywhere and then she just walks into the pool room (she didn't in t'book)
My dog (proper 57) had his anal glands emptied once and yes the smell is something to behold!!

Just been watching that 'For the love of dogs'. Some poor pooch that they reckon had been used as a bait dog (tied up by scum bags and left to be attacked by fighting dogs) looked a right mess when it was brought in. Happily rehomed to a lovely couple in the country - aaaahhhh :D

Robbie Williams is rocking the Council House again tonight, so how in the name of the blazes did he get to turn up doing a shit song with a tune-free gimp on The Voice?

Watched Revolutionary Road last night, as part of a mini Michael Shannon-athon. Tried to watch it before but it sent to me to sleep early on so i just discarded it. big mistake, its triffick! The aforementioned Shannon is amazing too, just wish he had a few more scenes. Did not like Winslets American accent tho, very annoying.

saw Despicable Me 2 yesterday too, another corker!

In my bid to watch absolutely everything that Mike Leigh's been involved with, the good people are sending me 'Naked'. Anyone seen it?

Of all the ML films, that's the one I haven't seen but should. I like Mike Leigh but sometimes his collaborative improv way of working through scenes gets a bit weary. Do you like Ken Loach Bruce?

Have seen shamefully little of his work, Pirate. A situation I intend to rectify. The last two of his films that I've seen (Angel's Share & Looking for Eric) were absolutely brilliant. I've got The Wind That Shakes The Barley on my LF list, though I'm guessing that it won't be similar in the least?!

Watching Rick Stein in India. This Mumbai street food's got me absolutely salivating like Pavlov's dog. Why on earth can't we get authentic Indian food over here? Nearest I ever came, I reckon, was when Spice Valley first opened. :(

Season finale of Mad Men was seriosuly good, in what was probably my least favourite season on the whole - not to be negative tho, its still been incredible as always. hate when a season finishes, that'll be it for another year or so...

need to dive into Gameo of Thrones series 2 now.

also been watching Pete V's Life a fair bit on Netflix, never did first time round but its pretty funny. i like.

yeah i think some of the scenarios he finds himself in are a bit too far fetched in S2.

Watched Bodyshock. It's a good job I'm not a hypochondriac, but I must have checked at least four times this morning to make sure no swelling was taking place...

Looking for Eric is class. Wind that shakes the barley. Mm... I think you need an open mind and a good understanding of the history involved, but a good story and a good performance from Ian (whatsisname?? doh!) The scouse lad. ( As I've had some wine I may even be on about the wrong movie! Apologies if I am Bruce..)
