Die Hard with Avengance. Everyone thinking of making another action film (including the writers of the Die Hard series, and Bruce Willis) should have given up then. 'You know how to hot-wire a car' 'Of course I do, I'm an electrician'

Just watched a bit of The Stones at Glasto - What with Ronnie Wood trying to gyrate like a teenager on heat and Charlie Watts looking like he'd forgot to put in his Newton's, it's quite put me off brekkers.
I thought I had super slo-mo on at one stage.

Empty the 5 litre can into the 3 litre can - leaving 2 litres in the 5 litre can.
Poor away the contents of the 3 litre can.
Fill the 3 litre can with the 2 litres from the 5 litre can - leaving 2 litres in the 3 litre can.
Fill the 5 litre can from the tap.
Fill the remaining 1 litre space in the 3 litre can from the 5 litre can.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
i'dve done,
fill the three up , pour it in the five
fill the three up again pour that in the five
pour away the five
pour the remaing one in the three can into the five
fill the three up and pour it ontop of the 1 gallon in the five can.
dunno if thats the same as yours , but on the film it seems to cut out what theyve done and when it cuts back, theyre just guessing " pour half in that one".
best bit is when he's going on about lottery tickets and he shoots 'em.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
I can recall the last time I watched Seinfeld (just about) - it lasted about 10 minutes before I sent it to the "crap and not funny" bin.
Given I might have been a little hasty and at a loose end for something to watch, I figured I'd give it another try. Either it's getting less funny - if that were at all possible - or I'm becoming less tolerant of unfunny crap. Lasted about 5 minutes this time. The adverts were funnier (and they were about life insurance).
How does crap like this make it to season 5?

Still watching and laughing at the re-runs every week on Atlantic. I suppose it's not one of those shows that has you in belly laughs from the off. You need to get to know the characters and their idio syncracies first and then it gets funnier & funnier. IMHO of course...

Hmmmm. Lots of US humor (sic) doesn't resonate with me, to be fair - although I can watch folk like Rich Hall. I used to watch Soap until I was about 12, then it was yesterday's news. Today's Seinfeld try on Sky was this episodeHarry Genshaw wrote:Worthy4England wrote:I can recall the last time I watched Seinfeld (just about) - it lasted about 10 minutes before I sent it to the "crap and not funny" bin.

Thinking of having a look at Anthony Hopkins in Fracture, Channel 4 10-0'clock. Not seen it and it looks decent.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Pretty sure I've never seen a second of Sinfield, but have seen way, way too little of Curb Your Enthusiasm, which I have down as being utterly brilliant. Being that Larry David's involved in both - are they similar? I'm like you, Worthy. Happy to leave most comedy from the US, but when they're funny, like Rich Hall, (or CYE) they're very funny.Worthy4England wrote:Hmmmm. Re: What are you watching tonight?
Good question. I didn't really get CYE either to be honest (or Taxi). That said, it's probably had less minutes airplay than Seinfeld. The minute I see cheesy American trying too hard to roll the same punchline for 5 minutes, so the slow kids can catch up, I switch off.
Re: What are you watching tonight?
Same here. Got friends who love CYE but I didn't raise a smile. Generally don't like US sitcoms.Worthy4England wrote:Good question. I didn't really get CYE either to be honest (or Taxi). I tell you what I will NOT be watching in a few days time ... the TV production from Radio 4 ... "Count Arthur Strong".
I'm fckg stunned that the programme has survived on't wireless, That someone has commissioned a TV version is beyond words.

So doesn't surprise me in the slightest that it's been commissioned for TV...

I hope you're fecking joking? (which, if you are, will be far funnier than anything that ever featured in Count Arthur Strong). Mind you, some people think that that Mrs Brown's Boys, something I'd draw a direct comparison with in the utterly unfunny stakes, is worthwhile.bobo the clown wrote:I tell you what I will NOT be watching in a few days time ... the TV production from Radio 4 ...
