Slight problem there is, ISIS don't oppress people they invent as many horrific ways as possible to 'off' them.Lord Kangana wrote:bobo the clown wrote:That's a bit harsh LK. Not going to get into a big rant with you over it but ... for all the things the Israeli's have done I'm not aware that they have World domination in their minds. Nor did the IRA or UDF.
So as I said, whatever bad things the more extreme Jews may have done .. and there are many ... (ie. "for all their faults") it really doesn't come near what ISIS are doing.
Apologies for being c*ntish though, if that helps.
The Israelis established their own state (religiously based) through the use of terrorism. Perhaps you'll be more forgiving when ISIS have their own state and can legitimately oppress people as they see fit?

I'm not convinced by that. Not that I know, but my gut says folk living in 'ISIS' controlled areas aren't living a carefree lifestyle.Hoboh wrote:Slight problem there is, ISIS don't oppress people they invent as many horrific ways as possible to 'off' them.
Though I take your point regard the 'offing'.

Anyway, this blokes just totally cooked any sympathy or support he may have had from me and no doubt countless others who he would need to get elected.
That alongside withdrawal from NATO will spell the death of Labour and with pricks like Corbyn in it, not a moment too soon!Corbyn dismissed public concerns about immigration, saying that in some years more people emigrate than immigrate and that immigrants have contributed enormously to British life since the second world war.
Old and scruffy, deluded memory lapse case, PM no chance!
I doubt there has been that many years with more leaving than coming in, certainly not from the 90's onwards.
Corbyn's not shot himself in the foot, he's blown it off with a 12 bore!

Tell me, hoboh, how 1) realistically and 2) cost effectively would you deal with the immigrant crisis? No bullshit like shoot them all, or send them back (if this is your answer, then again, who and how?).
Short of spending more than the entire GDP of the whole of Europe on a 50 foot wall all around our borders, what is the answer? Beyond the painfully obvious ones of attempting to make the countries they come from better places to stay?

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

^^ Good Luck!

First off, we are supposed to be on very good terms with most of the countries holding the vast bulk of refugees, so I would be talking to them.Lord Kangana wrote:Tell me, hoboh, how 1) realistically and 2) cost effectively would you deal with the immigrant crisis? The purpose would be to help them setup decentish transit camps, even if it meant sending the royal engineers or whatever EU equivalent to help build them, help fund them and assist with medical/food needs.
I would be pushing the UN and any other interested parties to allow a country to keep refugees/migrants in these holding areas until processed (as long as certain minimum conditions applied), then then they would be allowed to move on to the EU but in allocated order to an EU country, it could be checked if any of them have specialist skills so they could be allocated where needed.
Yes I know the process would take time, but that would help a slow manageable integration into the surrounding populace plus I doubt any of the non genuine, job robbing, economic migrants would hang around.
I realise this is saying we have to except immigrants, of course we do but in a controlled manner and when they are in their new host country they should be assigned which area they live in, be it Scotland, England or Wales or whatever, again this would sit badly with the non genuine, job robbing, economic migrants.
This all sounds a bit arbitrary but if you were safe, fed and housed with a future, could you reasonably object if you were fleeing for your life genuinely?
Illegals would be DNA tested and deported right back to their country of origin, you ain't got the proper processed paperwork, back you go!

We'd have to put it at the other end of the train from the illegal immigrants carriage - especially on the Eurostar..William the White wrote:I think we should have UKIP-only carriages.Hoboh wrote:http://www.theguardian.com/politics/201 ... emy-corbyn

Also, while I'm defending people I don't usually, I don't understand how this Andy Burnham "gaffe" is news?
Of course he doesn't think "the time is right" for a female Labour leader. He's standing for the leadership... and isn't a woman.

Over-thinking it. Given all the flights and coaches that all left Bulgaria to here and other points West of Bulgaria, it must nearly be officially empty by now. Just let this influx have Bulgaria.Prufrock wrote:One assumes he supports Germany's ten-point plan: http://www.politics.co.uk/blogs/2015/08 ... britain-ha" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;Worthy4England wrote:I never had Hobes down as a supporter of setting up a smoother journey for the immigrants.

It's not like they need to go for such bizarre hype to criticise him. Oh dear, oh dear. Real 6th form stuff.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
