That's what T in the Park has become (or always has been). Certainly not what other festivals have become.

There's now some fellow on called Kendrick something or other on that also talks over music.

You need to see this - the sunburning audience are all trying to look rather moody and are pretending to talk along, when clearly not a single one of them actually knows a word.

Do you dismiss the entire genre as talking over music or is just Snoop Dog and Kendrick you don't like?

No. Anyone can talk over music. At least someone like Marshall Mather is intelligent and witty when he does it. There's now a fecking DJ holding some sort of adulation at T in the park on the main stage. He's doing nothing different from when me and my mates were in the Hac, Cream, Republic etc. But then the DJ sloped off, be it Graham Parke, Nigel Benn, him from Scritty Politti or whoever, to a quick ripple of applause. There was never any discernible difference between their output and that of the house DJ.
This idea that some knob playing records plays centre stage at a festival is, to me, soul destroying!

To be honest, I saw a few minutes of it, and my thought was that it was the sort of thing, business men might pay to watch in a seedy soho club.

Quite decent too be honest, loved 2000AD as a kid and was quietly impressed. Supposedly going to make a sequel with some of the other characters from the comics in it. Just hope it doesnt go the Stallone way.

Each to their own, but I thought it was awful!!! Totally agree about the "absolutely crackers" bit, but thought I'd wasted 1 & 1/2 hrs of my life watching it.

I can see why anyone would hate it, its pretty out there, but Reece Shearsmith can do no wrong for me. It just made me chuckle, alot. and some of the imagery is stunning. also cannot stop listening to Lady Anne Bothwell's Lament!

saw that last week... personally thought it was a bit weak given the stuff they have done before.... lots of others have loved it though - so maybe it's just me...
