My buddy has seen him over 30 times - so it's probably not too rare an occurence. Last time I went to see him, I jacked it after an hour, bored. (Oh and I'd waited about 15 years to get a ticket to see him - Since Roundhey in 1984ish....)
His last tour I believe the "cheap tickets" were 80 quid!
I did take your comments as based on cost rather than regularity. Apparently he's done five albums in a decade and toured them all. Hardest-working man in etc etc.
Apart from Dylan maybe's! Never ending tour an all that!

Don't know if this is to your taste DSB and it probably clashes with sommat else but Florence and the Machine on the John Peel stage would be my tip.

Am in love with her! :D

Ha!

I saw him at the Emirates last year.

He was OK. But, as I think you can appreciate, went on for far too long...

I think he played a couple of songs about blue-collar life in New Jersey. Which would have been unusual for him.

8pm Saturday, a nice time for me, will have just finished work. Might swing by, thanks for the tip. Depends what my homies are doing.

Irksomely, have just noticed another clash - Badly Drawn Boy or Crosby Stills & Nash. I think I'll have to go CSN for rarity value. Soz Damon.

I would also be heading to CSN if I happened to have tickets...which I don't :-(

Nor will I be seeing AC/DC on 30th Jun at Hampden as my 5 year e-bay seller has just gone bump...(got me money back though). :-(

Might have to settle for something later in the year.

I know yon lead singer's sister, through halls. She's allright if a bit offensively 'indie'. I'll let her off for introducing me to her brother's band (musically, not literally)

2nd consecutive year for me, had an incredible time last year and can't wait for this one!

Mostly looking forward to the Boss, Mr Hudson & The Library, N*E*R*D, Deadmau5, Dizzee, Maximo Park, Guetta, Blur...

Also heard about a 'Special Guest' slot for Muse on the Friday in the Park Stage... suppose DSB as a man in the know would be able to confirm or deny? Would be gutted if it was the case as they'd clash with N*E*R*D who are supposed to be amazing live.

Thinking it is going to be very, very muddy this year (although wasn't there in 05/07 so don't really have much to compare with).

No need to choose. Doves are on Friday, Springsteen on Saturday.

Welcome back. Sounds like you're hooked.

I don't think it'll be all that muddy, maybe the same stickiness as last year. Metcheck says it's clear blue tomorrow (when I'm going down) and most of Thursday. Friday evening looks bad but just make sure you're past caring. The sad thing about mud is not standing in it watching bands, it's the loss of the chance to sit and chill in all the different areas.

I honestly haven't heard about Muse (and I'd be slightly surprised to see them on the rather bucolic Park stage) but even if I had I couldn't tell you outright. Keep an eye on Friday's newspaper for hints. Unannounced guests at recent festivals have included Last Shadow Puppets and Frank Ferdinand. Who knows?

Good point. It's Bruce vs Jarvis, Neil Young vs Doves.

If it's the same as last year then i'll be happy, to be honest i'd imagine i'll be happy no matter what.

Will be checking out the newspaper - I caught the announcement of Franz Ferdinand last year but not a big fan being honest.

The main rumours about Muse have come from a comment by Emily Eavis that they have someone 'huge' who would pose a 'health and safety risk' at the Park stage if they announced them. In addition Kerrang Magazine then said something along the lines of that one of the biggest bands in the world beginning with 'M' would be playing a secret slot at Glastonbury. Then check out one of Michael Eavis' recent twitter comments - http://twitter.com/michaeleavis.

All rumours, but would hate to miss a sensational and small-scale performance by someone huge!

Aye, forecast for the weekend is shite. To get the full experience at home I shall move the TV to the bathroom, sit in the shower and watch it from miles away across the room so I can barely see. Enjoy it!

My Dad hopped a freight train in the mid 1970's to see Springsteen . . . I'm pretty jealous.

Spots of rain today, now back to what Liam Gallig-or would call sunsheeeeiiiiiiiiiine

Really quite astonishingly packed yesterday, 90,000 on site two days before the proper stages open

There's a lot of "paid for the ticket, f*ck it, why not do the five days" about

I imagine its some peoples only holiday

Not really enjoyed too much on't tele really today if I'm honest

Ting Tings are great, she's a lovely lass (from Atherton?), obviously talented enough wish 'em all the best...never gonna be classics I suppose but fair play, apparantley played in front of 75 people there 2 years ago.

They haven't really shown much Neil Young.
Watched Bloc Party, seen 'em loads, they are a decent band but I've seen better.

Was impressed with N*E*R*D, Lilly Allen held it together...but LAdy gaga? wtf?????

Neil Young. What a feckin genius.

Genius, as in real genius. Bet the world won't miss him half as much as it should when he goes(inevitably).

Nah, they din't show much.

I say every year its not worth the expense, and then I usually see a couple of acts on the telly that make me regret the decision. The Flaming Lips, Bowie, and now Neil Young. B*stards.
