Oh, if only I had your luck, Bruce ...Bruce Rioja wrote:Interesting, Jonny. I'm on my third German car and they're the only cars that I've never had a single moment of trouble with. My boss however has the higher spec'd version of mine and his spends more time on the ramps than it does on the road.jonnybwfc wrote: As someone posted above, zee German cars (Audi, MB, BMW) are the most unreliable and the most expensive to repair according to recent studies.
My A6 has had 2 blown engines, a busted generator, and 2 broken computers.
Coming to a grand total of £15k in repairs.
Hasn't stopped me ordering another Audi ... some fools never learn, I guess.

Mazda rated 2nd overall.

citreon in the top 10 for reliability, really??????
Lots of japanese cars rate poorly in another
and one's produce by a warranty company, who have a vested interest - also rating rovers in their top 5 - that'll be accurate then.
Nobody doubts the general build quality of japanese cars, but to dismiss all german cars is plain silly. If you'd pointed the finger at Mercedes, then you'd have a point, but BMW, VW, Skoda and Audi you can't really, otherwise us sexually repressed company car drivers wouldn't be encouraged to drive them.

Can only go off what I know....In the last 7 years, I've had BMW318, Audi TT, Merc CLK and BMW 630i...Not one has been in the garage for repairs other than when some bint shunted by CLK from behind whilst I was stationary at some lights...communistworkethic wrote:oh aye those are conclusivejonnybwfc wrote:Take your pick, buddy ...communistworkethic wrote:source?

Enjoy the new car Batty
The missus bought a second hand MG a couple of years ago, terrible car, no end of problems with it. Ended up part-exing it a year later at a huge loss with the amount spent on it. Wishes she would have got an MX5 now.
I currently drive a (company) Toyota Avensis. Got to say I really like it, not hugely exciting but a world away from the Vauxhall Astra I had before it. That was awful.

have you bought a flat cap and some driving gloves to go with it? You know you'll haveto join a swingers club too, just to demonstrate your lack of sexual repression, or maybe just have a bisexual fling
