Talented and original in terms of her performances and her writing. She's a terribly sad loss, bless her.
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.

SC?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

This name may not mean anything to those without some Horwich link but a man, nay ... a legend, from that Parish, Ronnie Ferretti, died this week.
He owned the local ice-cream franchise, his vans playing 'Greensleeves' as it's calling card. The tune still means a 99 wafer to me. He had 2 'temperance bars' one by the Crown, now Leo's Italian restaurant and another opposite the Saddle. Hosts of kids wasted hours drinking hot Vimto in there AND it's whee I drank my first espresso.
RIP ice-cream man.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Don't remember the guy but remember the temperance/ice cream bar by the Crown.
It was all Manfredis and Sabbinis over our way. Bloody Italians, coming over here and stealing all the ice cream business.
RIP.

Gene Wilder, age 83.
I guess it's a generational thing but in the 70's he was a God-like figure in comedy films.
The Producers, Blazing Saddles andYoung Frankenstein, Willie Wonka & Everything You Want To Know About Sex. Saw him interviewed a couple of times ... a very uncomfortable experience as he gave nothing back to the questioner, which surprised me.
