What are you watching tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

What was the ending in Lost? I'm still not convinced I had a fecking clue what happened or was supposed to have happened.......

Half of it was basically purgatory. And then they all met in a white church at the end and 'moved on' to the other side together.

Was bollocks.
The worst ending ever to a series that went on far too long and I wish I'd never wasted my time watching. Going to start BB from the beginning, never seen any of it.

Yay, found myself committed hoping it would be all right. Life lesson there! Even about three from the end I was hoping it would all be sorted, and then it became apparent there just wasn't enough time.

Utter shite.

Just watched The Perks of Being a Wallflower with my mate Emma in it 8)

Not my usual sort of thing but really enjoyable overall, all though it is a little dark towards the end.

Very good play list although minus points for referencing Pearly Dewdrops' Drops then only playing the intro rather than playing at least a bloody good chunk of it, so fecking Booooooo for that.

But otherwise yeah, sound enough.

Good grief. I don't particularly wish to know Brian Blessed's life story. I'd like to know how he's managed to fashion such a successful career out of nothing other than being loud though?! :conf:

I was going to start Lost but since the end has been spoilt for me I don't think I'll bother now.

Also, this forum needs more Bunk related gifs.

Agreed. But be honest with yourself, the actor's accents are absolutely appalling.

Just watched Match Point, a lot of Crime and Punishment references towards the end!

was chatting to a brummie mate - he reckoned (as I thought) that the accents were ludicrous in the first episode - but that they have got better...

apparently, Cillian Murphy learned the accent in a pub in Small Heath..
BBC Two's new drama Peaky Blinders is set in the criminal underworld of 1919 Birmingham. It's writer, Steven Knight, has revealed Irish born actor Cillian Murphy spent 'a drunken Saturday' learning the difficult accent for his role.

"I took Cillian up to the real Garrison, which is in Small Heath, to meet some of the people I know from round there. We spent quite a drunken Saturday just talking. He recorded it, and just got into the accent."

So, what makes the Birmingham accent such a tricky one to master? "The trick with it - which he spotted and the other actors spotted - was that it’s fast," thinks Knight.

"Everybody does it slow for some reason, but the actual town accent is really fast and if you do it quick, you’re doing it. It’s like riding a bike, as long as you keep going, you’ll be alright. And they did it."

People on here (understandably) misinterpreting the ending of Lost. Here's an explanation for anyone remotely giving a toss.

They're not in purgatory. Most of them get to leave the island and get on with their lives. The key thing is that the 'flashbacks and flash-forwards' are replaced with er, scenes that show they will all meet as shiny, happy people later on in some halfway-house to the next life when they die. Something very close to purgatory admittedly.

Basically, the mood of the halfway house stuff changes because their actions on the island can still affect it. But they manage to all hold it together and get a happy ending for themselves after death. They all have a big church-do and a chance to catch up and say goodbye after they die.

Which is complete and utter stinking, cop-out bullshit. I hated it. Cowardly fan-service and invalidates most of what came before it. Though I'd begun to hate the show even before the final season. WTF was the apocalypse now stuff? And the nuke? And the bible stories? And the Locke Mess Monster?

Disgraceful. They were doing so well after 3 seasons as well.

Ugh.

So what I aid about some of it being in purgatory was right then :D?

And Chris, seriously you should be thanking us. I've made it my life's mission not to let anyone else waste days of their lives on Lost.
