Flatmate was out so I could only cook one of the available burgers otherwise a domestic would have ensued and I dont want to upset the lad he's from Yorkshire and I cant understand what he's saying at the best of times!

I mean, since when was a bag of sweets known as "a bag of spice"?!

It is possible to buy very expensive and very good frozen burgers.

Well, that may pass as up-market tucker in your house, Mr I, but I'll stick to making my own with mozzarella in the middle. Yum, and indeed yum.

Put the knife in hot water first and slip between the burgers.

Eating something microwaveable or something that can be cooked in a pan or my steamer. Oven element has blown! Nando's last night, but can't be spending £23 every night on tea!

Oh and I'll be polishing off the final 2 cans of Beck's Vier in my fridge. Very cold & very crisp. Christ I shouldn't be thinking about that sort of stuff at 11.47am on a Tuesday

Why not? 11/12's about opening time. Wetherspoons you can get a beer about half 9. So I've been told.

I have recently discovered how to do proper baked potatos...

get some HUGE spuds - sea-salt rubbed into the skins - pricked a few times - in the oven for a couple of hours - crispy salty skin - fluffy inside - yummm!! add variety of toppings - beans (obviously!) - cheese - tuna and some salad for the ladies - doesn't get much better!

Thats good bish. And if you want to make the best mash you've ever tasted, then repeat the process, scoop the insides out and add some melted butter and warm cream, s+p. 2nd best mash ever!

Nah.

Plonk a load of butter on the skins, and stick 'em back in the oven for a few minutes. Guilty pleasure.

First best mash is on this thread somewhere or other.

Barramundi on a bed of seasonal vegetables with a lemon butter sauce, washed down with some Tooheys Dry and a few other aussie tipples I could mention.

Yum.

Undecided - as we didn't get anything out for dinner, and we didn't get to the shops in time, it's Takeaway Time. And I'mk at the mercy of Mrs K's pregnant urges. Could be anything.
