In my case it's the Bish's employer who's done it for me.
Not one flake, anywhere. Not even frost on the car windows this morning.
In fact ... "what snow?"
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Gee, shame about that Bobo. Never mind, I just hired two waggons, got em filled with snow and tomorrow morning your path will be a couple of feet deep and your car blocked in. Just so you don'r feel left out of things. You'll need paperwork to get it over the border .... the word is "Eira" ... if it's nice & fresh (& v white) it'll be Eirwen.

battled my way through snow and ice to get to Chadwell Heath to lead their 11:15am service, and found that the fabby young people there had gone down early and made this... (made me smile as I arrived, anyway!)

Nice, thebish, but I'm not too sure about the rainbow. Wasn't it Norse legend that told of warriors killed in battle climbing the rainbow bridge to reach Asgard and the Valkyries to live a second life of debauchery and merriment? You'd best monitor the younger members of your flock methinks.

I suspect the legends of Genesis probably predate the Norse ones...

Re: Today I'm happy about......
I had a lovely nights sleep last night. Not quite so for my girlfriend apparently who was woken up by me standing up on the bed at 3am shouting "My arm is dead, my arm is dead" before crashing back down and falling silent.
I have some vague recollection of sleeping on my right arm and it being numb in the early hours
I frightened the living daylights out of her by all accounts

Today I am happy that the swimming pool was lovely and warm for once, and that the twins got the giggles as they splashed each other!

Re: Today I'm happy about......
Don't think so, Dujon - I believe the Valkyries picked up warriors (if they'd died in the right way) and took them to Valhalla for debauchery, etc. However, it was a waiting room until they fought in the last battle at Ragnarok (which they lost). The Rainbow Bridge was strictly for immortal use (or to go to the US at Niagara).Dujon wrote:Nice, thebish, but I'm not too sure about the rainbow. What the...?
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.
