Good advice from Bish - there is nothing more valuable than time.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Or wrap 'em in cling film and leave em under the stairs..................(not their heads tho!)

Today I'm fuming about subsistence farmers! How dare these b*stards taunt us with their happiness, laughing in the face of our misery. It's about time they made a profit...that'd teach'em.
That's not a leopard!

Slow drivers. I'm no boy racer (my car's too crap for a start) but in these days of speed bumps and mini roundabouts, when you finally get onto an open road with a 40mph limit, you get stuck behind a Vauxhall Corsa or Honda Jazz doing 25mph
To make things worse though, they eventually indicate to turn right, but since they're driving such a huge vehicle
, they have to move over towards the left before swinging it into the turning

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
I hear you HG. Even worse here. You're doing 140 kmph on a 7 lane highway. For no reason whatsoever a mitsibushi Lancer will pull out in front of you doing 60. Meanwhile, the prick in the Prado is about half an inch from your bumper flashing his lights at you whilst texting. There are 4 outer lanes he could use to over take you, but that would involve using his brain. This is the norm here - very very scary.
Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Worst for that round here is on Chorley Old Road between Old Links and The Blundell, when people ignore the National Speed limit signs and continue to do 29mph.Harry Genshaw wrote:Slow drivers. Re: Today I'm angry about.....
we get it all the time here - touristy places... esp on sundays - people go out for a drive and dawdle all the way along the paignton to brixham road at 20mph - just looking at the sea - or trying to work out where to park - and they work in relay - one eventually turns off - another will immediately pull out ahead of you...
the other annoying thing is the bendy road to Newton Abbot - it's a country lane (basically) and you CAN get two cars past along all of it - sometimes it's a close shave - but it's doable... every day - you get idiots who feel they have to stop to let all the cars past coming the other way...
HERE'S THE THING.... IF THEY CAN GET PAST YOU WHILE YOU ARE STATIONARY - THAT MEANS THERE IS ROOM FOR TWO CARS - SO YOU COULD ACTUALLY BE MOVING!!! STOPPING DOES NOT MAKE YOUR CAR THINNER!! ARGHHH!!!!

While we're on it then, I'd like to add "middle lane speeder uppers". They were in the outside lane, doing say 75...you'd like to overtake and eventually they pull into the middle lane and add at least 10 MPH onto their speed, meaning you have to do about 95 to get past the buggers. Once past they generally revert back to 75....

I think, thebish, that the sight of you on your bike suddenly appearing round a bend like Lorenzo or Stoner, knee pads brushing the road, and travelling the opposite direction to me would cause an involuntary application of brakes. I'd much rather be a stationary obstacle than some form of moving chicane.

My golf waterproofs clearly aren't waterproof at all.

No, mate. Is that a recco?Prufrock wrote:Did you buy them from a snowboarding shop?
Jacket's a Sprayway that cost me about £100 but the kecks are just a cheap pair of Dunlop from Mike Ashley's place. The cheap keks outperformed the jacket 100 fold

Nah, just a reference to that e-mail chappie whose website you linked too
.
Back when I played golf I had those Dunlop ones and they were always fine! Grim and sweaty, but rain free.

^ Have you just discovered why the previous owner got rid?
Re: Today I'm angry about.....
I bloody hope not! It was advertised as running, so if my mechanic comes back with a nasty verdict, I'll be using my legal expenses cover!
