Everyone has the tight to make a defense. We haven't heard his yet so perhaps we should not conclude "guilty as sin" until we have. It is a safeguard we ourselves may want some day.

Go on then, Columbo, I'll bite. What evidence is it, before the defence have even begun, that convinces you of his guilt?
It's just, from where I'm standing, the whole deciding your opinion from one-sided evidence is a bit...how do you say...Hoboh-like

I am free to come to any conclusion I want, as can many others, seeing as it wont effect the final decision of the trial.Montreal Wanderer wrote:Everyone has the tight to make a defense. Almost like it was on purpose isn't it, given I'm making the point that no one can know yet. It's evidence that hasn't been opposed.Bruce Rioja wrote:As I suspected - parking tickets.Prufrock wrote:Bruce Rioja wrote:Remind me never to hire you. Is your specialised field parking tickets?

And by can't 'know' I don't mean in some philosophical way. Of course, no-one who wasn't there can 'know', but I mean specifically that you can't come to any reasonable conclusion when you've only heard snippets of media reports presenting only part of only one side's story. But carry on jumping the gun like a Daily Mail-linking, EU-hating, UKIP-voting tramp with a penchant for motorbikes if you want

So yeah, what evidence is it that convinces you of his guilt? Or is it, as I suspected, that you haven't got a clue?

Though tbf the chances of a judge (rather than a jury) in South Africa being influenced by the reckonings of Jaffka and BR is unlikely. Not that I'm suggesting they don't have huge international followings.
Everyone has got a gut 'reckon' in these things, but I'm surprised people can have come to such definitive conclusions 7 days in!

So yeah, what evidence have you that convinces us as to his innocence? Or is it, as / suspected, you haven't got a clue?

you just wrote and [by way of tw] published something which could prejudice an active case. obviously this website aint top of anyone's agenda but still it's something worth bearing in mind before you do something similar next time.jaffka wrote:any relevance to this trial being in South Africa and I am where ever in the worldKeyserSoze wrote:jaffka wrote:I am free to come to any conclusion I want, as can many others, seeing as it wont effect the final decision of the trial.Montreal Wanderer wrote:Everyone has the tight to make a defense. you are free to come to your own conclusion, just be wary about what publishing that conclusion for everyone to see can mean. same with copyright photos and all that.

The prosecution has barely got started (I think I read they've got 80 witnesses and they're about 5 in) and the defence hasn't even started yet.

It's almost like people on the internet can't see grey areas, or something.
