If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Aliens. Like its predecessor, an absolute classic. I'm liking the Sky Movies alien channel.

It is, with a brilliant soundtrack that was written for the film by Eddie Vedder. I listen to it regularly, need to watch the film again.

He's no mcConaughey and Farrell is patchy at best. Thought he was awful until he did In Bruges.
Still looking forward to it though, the first was so good.

I just watched Alien 3 and 4 and have now moved onto the first episode of The Strain, new horror TV show. Not massively impressed so far but most of a bottle of gin has helped.

I'm in this show. As an extra in the crowd scenes. I steal it ... I owned it ... I made it mine. I also declined to wear a red & white scarf or shirt ... not even "for my art".

Saw One Hand Clapping by Anthony Burgess tonight at the Octagon http://m.theboltonnews.co.uk/news/11488 ... n_Theatre/

Very funny and well put together, with great music and some quite surreal scenes using physical comedy. The dark turn was quite unsettling but still funny. I'll look out for this company again.
The play was about Burgess' concerns about his contemporary society but is still very relevant in today's.

LE - What was the set like? I can't believe that they'll have changed the entire set for a one-off, but then One Hand Clapping doesn't look like it belongs in a trench. :?

It was in the studio, not the main auditorium as JE is still on. They used a minimal set and were very inventive in how they worked it. Lindsay put a photo on Facebook, I'll tag you in it. Unfortunately she had a rather malodorous gentleman next to her (not me!), but also enjoyed it despite the unwelcome distraction.

If you didn't see this programme, 'Marvellous' starring Toby Jones then do. Honestly it was superb, despite the fact that even I didn't spot myself. Funny, sad, uplifting and a testimony that people are, in general, naturally kind. Ninety minutes well spent, I promise you.
