I don't know when the performance took place but all five of the main cast were there. As I haven't seen any of their work for yonks it was a most pleasurable hour and a half spent in a land totally divorced from reality.
Saw Graham Chapman (when he was still alive, obviously) giving a solo show at Kansas University (yes really, Toto). He opened by inviting the audience to give him 60 seconds of abuse (including throwing things) in order to get it out of their systems.

Reminds me of Mike Patton, lead singer of Faith No More, when I saw them at Maine Road. He invited the same thing. then congratulated someone who hit him in the face with a closed can of beer and opened up a big cut in his forehead. He then tried to do a somersault but landed flat on his back on the stage, before delivering an amazing performance. I think drugs may have been involved.EverSoYouri wrote:Dujon wrote:Last night I had the privilege of watching on one of my local television stations those silly Monty Python people in some sort of MP review. Winter's Bone is on it's way from LF. 'A bit bleak' from what I remember of the comments on here.

trouble with Filth is I find Mr McAvoy to nicey nice to be a convincing Bruce. likewise Billy Elliot. Decent watch tho, worth it for Jim Broadbent alone yesssssssssssssssss!

I've no idea. It's either the book or the film for me, you can't do both.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
I'd agree with this. It's not quite Cruise/Reacher territory but certainly not how I'd picture him. Keith Allen a few years ago maybe.General Mannerheim wrote:trouble with Filth is I find Mr McAvoy to nicey nice to be a convincing Bruce. likewise Billy Elliot. Re: What are you watching tonight?
got round to watching cloud atlas tonight... I had no idea how they'd make that book into a film - and though they have done it very differently to the way the book is laid out - they've done a cracking job!

Watched Winter's Bone. Brilliantly bleak indeed. Absolutely captivated. That Jennifer Lawrence is actually a damn fine actress. I wasn't expecting that
